MultiMonitorTool allows a variety of monitor setting tweaks including disable/enable monitors, set primary monitor, save/load all monitors configs and move windows from one monitor to another. The program also provides a preview window, which allows you to view a preview of all attached monitors.

Command-line features are available.

WinDirStat provides a visual and statistical representation of disk usage, as well as cleanup tools. It reads the whole directory tree once and then presents it in three useful views: directory list, extension list, and tree map. Its built-in cleanup actions include open, show properties, delete as well as user-defined ones.

Note: The 98/ME version works on all versions of Windows but does not support Unicode. The 2K/XP version only works on WinNT and higher.

Rufus, or Reliable USB Formatting Utility (with Source), is a small and fast utility that helps create bootable external drives, such as USB keys/pendrives, memory sticks etc. The program is ideal for use with installation media from ISOs (Windows, Linux etc.) for working on a system without an OS, flashing device BIOS or other firmware, or you want to run a low-level system utility.

PhraseExpress is a keyboard macro utility that manages all your frequently used text phrases from a taskbar icon and allows you to paste them into any application with a single mouse click, a keyboard shortcut, or a text macro command. Password Safe is a database for encrypting sensitive information. Once opened with a master password, you can copy a password and paste it directly into your application. Alternatively, Password Safe supports "Auto Type" that enters the username and password into the target application by simulating keystrokes.

The database is encrypted using the Twofish encryption algorithm. A Linux version (currently in Beta) is also available from the website.

SMF is a powerful file search and duplicate finding tool that uses hashing (MD5, CRC32 or SHA1) to determine similarity. Includes a host of filter capabilities and a result-reporting tool, with which you can sub-filter the result set according to your needs.

The program lets you search by last modified date, keyword, or file attribute; pictures of a certain filesize, dimension, or metadata info; MP3s by length, author, or bitrate; and duplicate pictures that have a certain filesize or dimension.

Imagine is a lightweight, fast and easy to use image viewer with basic graphics and animation edit features. Also includes screen capture, thumbnail browser, slideshow and metadata disclosure. Conversion tools include batch format change to dozens of formats and lossless JPEG changes (rotate and flip).

CopyQ is a powerful clipboard manager that can handle text, HTML and images. It supports customizable global commands, quick browsing and pasting (including paste as plain text), always on top, tray control, themes, advanced command-line interface and scripting. Items can be organized into tabs. Tabs can be renamed, re-arranged (via drag&drop) and icons can be assigned to tabs. Notes and tags can also be added to items. calibre is a feature-rich e-book library management application with a variety of useful functions including viewer, addendums, editor, online book and news search/download. The software can perform detailed searches, convert e-books to device-specific formats, batch metadata tools, and a content server for online access to your collection.

The program syncs automatically with many different physical devices. It supports a variety of ebook and document formats.

SmartSystemMenu enables a variety of functionality to all windows on your machine. When you click the top-left corner of any window, you'll see available visual effects such as resizing, transparency, alignment (such as moving to the lower-right corner). Window movement functions include as sending to tray, staying on top, and the ability to drag the window without using the top bar ("drag-by-mouse").

The program also supports system functions such as window information, saving a screenshot, copy text to clipboard, and process priority. An available launcher menu can be customized, and SmartSystemMenu can be disabled for individual programs.

muCommander is a Java-based skinnable, tabbed file manager with a dual-pane interface. CCleaner is a feature-rich system optimization and privacy tool. The program cleans unused, temporary and log files from your system, as well as traces of online activities such as Internet history and flash cookies. The program contains startup controls for Windows, major internet browsers and context menu entries. Includes a separate registry cleaner, duplicate search, system restore tool and can wipe both deleted files and drive free space for security.

A 64-bit version is available (within the folder). Monitoring functions are only available in the pro version.

Additional cleaner rules can be using an unofficial set of community-developed set. It should be noted that many of these rules are alpha and the developers will not provide support for these rules, a thread in the users forum is dedicated to supporting the add-on rules.

Alternatively, ccPortable is also available.

FileZilla is a fast and reliable FTP client, including secure options SFTP and TLS. The program interface includes an easy-to-use tabbed window, drag-and-drop capability, bookmarks, remote and recursive file search, remote file editing and a managable upload/download queue. Internally, it supports connection throttling, keepalive, timeout detection, IPv6, SOCKS 4/5 and HTTP 1.1 proxy etc.

Alternatively, Filezilla Portable is pre-configured as portable and automatically adjusts paths, as well as an outdated X-Filezilla.

Cross-platform with clients available for Mac and Linux. For Windows XP, an older and unsupported version is available. A portable Filezilla server is available as part of XAMPP.

LWServer is a small, quick and efficient multipurpose server, which your can enable and disable instantly:

1. A HTTP/S proxy server that allows websites or other users to use your PC as a middleman (which can bypass websites that block their own IP addresses)
2. A SMTP emulator that allows tesing mail clients by making them think your PC is a mail server (it's embeddable and thus can be seen in LWBlat GUI too)

AkelPad is a plain text editor focused on speed and a small size. The program includes unicode support, available single-document and tabbed interfaces, unlimited file size, and multi-level undo, etc.

Alternatively, AkelPad Portable portablizes recent files and search history and has both the 32- and 64-bit versions together and chooses the right one. An outdated version of X-AkelPad is also available.

Mozilla Thunderbird is a skinnable, feature-rich email, calendar, task and instant messaging client with support for plugins and many protocols. It comes with advanced search tools, message filtering, Bayesian spam detector, built-in spell checker, mailbox compression and many more. Program features can be extended with add-ons, including a specialized version of email encryption tool GPG.

Email protocols include SMTP, POP3, IMAP (including uploads, albeit a date issue), NNTP and RSS and chat support for IRC, Twitter, XMPP, Google Talk, and Matrix. Also supports OAuth for use with accounts that require it instead of a password.

Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition is a special build licensed by Mozilla. Alternatively, X-Thunderbird is also available. For XP/Vista, version 52.9.1 is available here.

iDailyDiary Free is a program tailored for taking daily notes, creating a journal, putting your thoughts into writing etc. The documents you create are encrypted and require a password to access. The built-in editor supports graphics, hypertext links and links to other diary pages. iDailyDiary is fully searchable so you can track down important dates and reminders. You can also export your diary to HTML web pages.

A "pro" version is available with additional features including spell checker, thesaurus, topics (group related entries), themes support (50+ themes included), tables, etc.

ScummVM is an open-source platform that enables users to play classic adventure and RPG games. Originally designed to run games created with the SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) engine by LucasArts, ScummVM has expanded to support a wide range of titles from different developers.

Instead of emulating the original hardware, ScummVM attempts to recreate the game engines underlying the games. This allows for better performance and compatibility across platforms while avoiding bugs that may be associated with original executables.

ScummVM offers features such as save state capabilities, improved graphics and audio settings, and support for modern control schemes such as touch screens. It is a great tool for gaming enthusiasts who wish to revisit classic titles on modern hardware.

NewFileTime is a small but effective tool that provides you easy access to correct or manipulate any of the timestamps for any file and folder.

PotPlayer is a feature-rich media player that plays hundreds of different video and audio formats without any dependency on installed codecs, as well as streaming media and DVD video. The program includes configurable subtitles, audio and subtitles delay adjustment, video equalizer, 3D capabilities, playlist support, bookmarks, audio visualizations etc.

The program can also capture video sequences and record audio, split video and add processing filters. It can sleep or shut down the computer after a timer finishes or at a set time.

DiskInternals Linux Reader provides several disk management tools in an easy-to-use interface. FocusWriter is a full-screen word processor that aims for a distraction-free, immersive way to write and edit. The minimalist interface puts options and tools on the edge of the screen and auto-saves progress. Upon relaunch, the program reloads your last file to make make it easy to jump back into your work.

FBCacheView scans the cache of browsers on your system, listing all images displayed from viewed Facebook and Instagram pages. This includes profile pictures, images uploaded to Facebook, Instagram and images taken from other Web sites. For every Facebook and Instagram image, you can view the URL, Web browser that was used to visit the page, image type, date/time of the image, visit time, image file size and external URL (for images taken from another Web site).

Q-Dir is a quad-pane file explorer that supports favorites, file/color filtering, export to XLS/CSV/TXT/HTML, screen magnifier, quick preview etc.

Tablacus Explorer is a quad-pane file manager that supports tabs, mouse gestures, favorites, filters and different view styles. Its functionality can be extended via plug-ins which can be installed and updated from within the program.

IrfanView is a viewer for a wide variety of image, audio and video formats. The program includes batch processing, creation of panoramic images, edition of multi-page TIFF files, lossless JPEG rotate/crop and effects such as sharpen and blur. Other tools such as screen capture, scanner, slideshow, plugin support and ability to capture icons from EXE or DLL.

Alternatively, IrfanView Portable is also available and updates drive letters and handles registry keys.

Firefox Browser is a fast, powerful and secure web browser that supports open standards and many of the latest web technologies. The program includes smart search, bookmark management, web development tools and built-in download manager. Smart content blocking for ads and trackers is available in both standard and private browsing modes.

Versions available for Mac, Android, iOS and Linux with synchronisation of passwords and browser state across devices. Additional features and customisations are available via the add-on system, which allows for thousands of specialized functions.

Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition is a special build licensed by Mozilla and includes both the 32-bit and 64-bit builds and selects the appropriate one for each PC. Beta, Developer, Extended Release, and Win 7/8/8.1 and XP/Vista versions are also available.

LWBlat is a utility email sender using SMTP or NNTP for posting to newsgroups with a friendly interface. The program is a front-end for the Blat console utility. Also, as modern public SMTP servers require SSL and OAuth which Blat doesn't support, this utility includes a simulator mode (embedded LWServer) to test various settings and see how a message would have been received had it used them.

Note: The free PDF-XChange Editor lacks some features present in the registered version (payware). Some "Pro" features can be used, but will add a watermark upon saving.

TidyTabs enables you to add up to three tabs to any application window. You can group multiple programs into a single window and then switch between them using tabs. Tabs appear when you hover your mouse over the top left corner of the window. To group the application with another window, simply drag its tab onto the other windows tab bar and create a tabbed group. The program can exclude or allow specific programs.

A pro version includes multi-monitor support, the ability to reorder/rename tabs and is not restricted to three tabs per group.

PDFArranger is an editor program to merge, split, rotate, crop, rearrange, duplicate and interleave pages. The program supports drag-and-drop insert of other PDF files, auto-crop whitespace, rotation of individual or any combination of pages, scale size (e.g. tabloid to letter size), and more.

The program can print "restricted" PDFs, split pages, export components of the PDF to separate files, or import standard images into a PDF document.

KeePass is a password manager that helps you store and manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database locked with a single master key or a key file. FastCopy is a file copy and synchronization tool with a variety of available extras. It uses different strategies (multi-threading, buffering) to help ensure maximum device throughput, as well as optional verification to make sure data is transferred correctly. It does not use the system cache, so other processes do not get bogged down during the copy process and a speed setting is also available, including pause. It supports Unix-style include/exclude wildcards filters.

Alternatively, PortableApps.com packages the last open source version as FastCopy Portable.

TakeStock is an investment portfolio manager to track US and international stocks, ETFs and mutual funds. The program can track dividends, capital gain distributions, margin equity and cash flow. You can view a security’s price chart, find historical prices, read company info and easily identify short and long term gains for tax reporting purposes.

Automatic functions include price quotes (usually delayed by 15 minutes) and alerts when a security’s target buy or sell price is reached.
