No matter what IMO Media Player Classic has always been, and will always be the best overall Media Player. I've been using for a very long time on many different OS's and it fulfilled my needs on all of them. I like the look and all the rest, maybe I'm being partial but so what it works 4me :) Great job by the makers so thanks for the hard work.

Just to note that the direct download links point to version 4.60. The home website (www.irfanview.com) has the link to version 4.62 Irfanview and the plugins. Note that there is no 32-bit Irfanview in zip format, but I verified that uniextract works.

Note: New features in this version, especially if you use the Irfanview PlugIn

Andrew Lee on 2022-12-11 05:23

@Cornflower: Seems like the 32-bit ZIP is also available now. I have updated both download links.

Cornflower on 2023-12-10 08:43

Also note that virtually every new release updates some plugins, and version 4.65 is no exception. Most users may want to go to https://www.irfanview.com/plugins.htm and download the 32- or 64-bit package, and dump them into the Irfanview Plugins subdirectory.

Note: starting with actual version 6.18 TagScanner requires the VC-/Universal Runtimes. I stumbled upon because this runtimes cannot be installed on my system. Version 6.17 however works fine.
For systems without this runtimes the workaround could be to copy the runtimes from LibreOffice or Firefox and place them in the root folder of TagScanner (x86 or x64 accordingly).

Per the last comment (or rather comments), it's true VLC is infamous for never including the 64 bit in the regular download page.
I've therefore edited the entry to link to an official archive (more techy page) that always contains both the latest 64 and 32 bit versions (in both 7Z and regular ZIP).

PAFuser on 2022-03-07 20:48

Also available from PortableApps.com (32 bit). (64 bit can replace PortableApps 32 bit files.)

MoisheP on 2023-10-13 14:18

It might be easier for some to download the Windows installer, e.g., vlc-3.0.19-win64.exe directly from videolan.org and unpack using 7-Zip to the VLC folder.

FYI, older versions still available, check forum topic.

g3ose on 2019-04-17 18:14

it is version 7.0 right now, is portable and free
great viewer, fast and lite. some good lossless transformations
use it as is, support is dead.
take care, thumbnail database is not big enough, optimisation of thumbnail database will clear most thumbs. resizing thumbnails will clear all database so using Tag section is completly useless. (tags are saved on thumbnail database)
Still one of top 3 in my image viewers.
it use SageThumbs https://sourceforge.net/projects/sagethumbs/
to manage .eps files

gcb43 on 2022-04-04 12:55

I fully agree with Miklo, having used FastStone for several years, I really like it: does everything I want almost intuitively.I still use version 6.4 . Tried to use the last version 7.6 but reversed to the previous one because in the last release there is a bug in the Multi-Page File Builder to created an Animated GIF (Alt+M):. the resulting GIF file shows only the first 2 loaded images then stops.
