It again created that log file named log.txt. It contains some errors that occurred some days only. And when that happens, it does not remain stealth.

smaragdus: Thanks for the info but I think this topic is better served in the forums. Could you move it from here and over at the SunlitGreen Photo Editor entry?

I restored my win7 X64 computer to out-of-box state (pre sp1) and it still would not open the 64 bit xnconvert, so I'm guessing it needs the visual c++

Magibon on 2011-06-25 08:12

@ Zeke the Frog

Nope.. i installed Visual C++ on my system for Rainmeter.
still does not work for me.

i also tried adding the dependencies with no success.

Can't figure it out.
I just use the x32bit version.

v.1.75 portable - windows xp 32 SP3 - I get the following message which is : The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
Previous versions until 1.74 worked fine.
XnConvert does not support XP anymore?

JPEGView v1.0.36 Updated

billon on 28 Dec 2017
  • 5MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 28 Dec 2017
  • Suggested by infimum

JPEGView is a minimalistic viewer/editor designed to view images from digital cameras full screen and with highest quality possible. Basic image editing functionality is provided, allowing correction for typical problems as color cast, high/low contrast, orientation and under- or overexposure very quickly and interactively during review of the images. The program can view and save JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF, or WEBP. Includes batch rename and copy features.

While JPEGView is not intended as a replacement for a full-blown image editor, the included tool set of commonly-used modifications means such editors should be needed less often.

A 64-bit version is available (within the folder).

Alternatively, JPEGView Portable is also available from PortableApps.

Great program for quick viewing; currently my default.

If someone's looking for a similar program with much more functionality/info, try out Faststone Viewer. It opens tons of fomats (incl RAW) fullscreen on a black background, and moving the mouse to either corner of the screen gives handy popup windows for metadata, editing, browsing, etc. I switched to JPEGView because you can quickly go from fullscreen to borderless window, as well as quickly zoom the window in and out, which is handy when doing graphic work with reference images.

webfork on 2016-09-03 02:12

This viewer has been my default graphics editor for over ~3 years now. Very fast, lightweight, and minimalistic. I recommend cycling through the included INI file for additional available settings and tweaks.

webfork on 2018-01-19 17:30

Needless to say, this program is drastically better than the included image viewer for Win10.

@webfork Yes, but it gives only one url of the image to copy. I have used another Imgur uploader, which stopped working, but it gave different type of url's to use, like: for forums, for html sites, with small and large thumbnails.

webfork on 2016-05-06 20:18

@Peter202: Greenshot goes really lightweight and minimalist by design so that's not present but you might goto the home page and click 'suggest a feature'

gbrao on 2016-12-20 10:58

I just started using Greenshot. With Win 7 x64.

I just cannot set Settings->General->Update_check_interval to 0. Any other value works.

Nice program otherwise.
