WinHTTrack is an offline browser utility. It allows you to download a website from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. WinHTTrack can also update an existing mirrored site, and resume interrupted downloads.

Alternatively, X-WinHTTrack is a portable package for standard WinHTTrack.

System Requirements: Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8
Writes settings to: Project files. A few non-critical settings such as language, window attributes and recent file list are written to the Windows registry.

License: GPL
How to extract:
  1. Download the no-install ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice
  2. The application files are located in the httrack subfolder
  3. Launch WinHTTrack.exe
Optional: libtest, src, and src_win can be removed to save 3.40 MB.
What's new? New:
  • Handle --advanced-maxlinks=0 to disable maximum link limits.
  • Updated ZIP routines (zlib 1.2.8).
  • Enforce check against CVE-2014-0160.
  • Improved hashtables to speedup large mirrors.
  • Added unit tests.
  • Added %a option, allowing to define the "Accept:" header line.
  • Added %X option, to define additional request header lines.
  • Added option '-%t', preserving the original file type (which may produce non-browseable file locally).
  • Assertion failure at htslib.c:3458 (strlen(copyBuff) == qLen) seen on Linux.
  • Infamous crashes inside the DNS cache due to a corruption within the option structure.
  • Added minimalistic crash reporting on Windows and Linux.
  • URL list not working anymore.
  • FTBFS on ARM.
  • Buggy FFFD (replacement character) in place of leading non-ascii character such as Chinese ones.
  • FTBFS when compiling with zlib versions < 1.2.70.
  • Buggy SVG.
  • Do not uncompress .tgz advertised as "streamed".
  • NULL pointer dereferencing in back_unserialize (htsback.c:976).

  • Injection-proof templates.
  • htshash.c:330 assertion failure ("error invalidating hash entry").
  • Windows 2000 regression.
  • Code cleanup (aliasing issues, const correctness, safe strings).
  • Broken 32-bit version.
  • Assertion "segOutputSize < segSize assertion fails at htscharset.c:993".
  • New zlib version fixing CVE-2004-0797 and CVE-2005-2096.
  • More reliable crash reporting.
  • Fixed infamous "hashtable internal error: cuckoo/stash collision" errors.
  • Safety cleanup in many strings operations.
  • Buggy option pannels.
  • Remove scope id (% character) in dotted address resolution (especially for catchurl proxy).
  • Build fixes, including for Android, non-SSL releases.
  • Buggy keep-alive handling, leading to waste connections.
  • Removed chroot and setuid features (this is definitely not our business).
  • Removed MMS (Microsoft Media Server) ripping code (mmsrip) (dead protocol, unmaintained code, licensing issues).
  • Type mishandling when processing a redirect (such as a .PDF redirecting to another .PDF, with a text/html type tagged in the redirect message).
  • Infinite loop when attempting to download a file:/// directory on Unix (gp).
  • Removed background DNS resolution, prone to bugs.
  • Do not choke on Windows 2000 because of missing SetDllDirectory().
  • %h custom build structure parameter not taken in account.

Can anyone else confirm that Skype 5 is not portable?

It's annoying to have to close a window busily proposing to upgrade Skype every time you turn Skype on.

Edit features include the ability to rotate documents, add comments/annotations to any PDF file, apply custom stamps from any image/PDF file/Windows clipboard, mark-up pages with text and objects, and type directly on any PDF page in "Typewriter" mode. The program supports exporting to BMP/JPEG/TIFF/PNG etc., or extracting text from a PDF page/file. Additional features include capturing the document with the snapshot tool (copies an area to clipboard), measuring tools for distance, area, and perimeter, and more. A recommended picture-to-text OCR plugin is available (thanks Bruce) as is a PDF help file.

Alternatively, PDF-XChange Viewer Portable adjusts paths and is bundled with the OCR plugin and help.

that's great. you can also try this one, i think it's also good to use.

Love how the search tool works with the current PDF, all files opened in tabs, or even an entire folder or drive, with results appearing in an easily accessible side window organized by files and instances. This is the best freeware search tool I've used so far (outside of DocFetcher as it searches more PDFs).
