Milko! Milko! Oh sorry. Hey, Isn't this pretty much the same idea as the Google OS, only running on Windows (which has all those items already?)
Not saying anything about the looks or function of it, whatever floats your boat.

QiPress is a monitor for the system keyboard and mouse, describing activity in a small, semi-transparent black box in the corner of your screen. Ideal for presentations, screencasts, and program howtos, the program can also behave as a diagnosis tool for keyboard problems, describe unlabeled keys, or provide feedback show when an application is ignoring input.

Settings are available to ignore key-sets to exclude for example mouse or keypad activity, as well as window color, transparency, fade-out, and more.

Slight correction:
1) Transparency, Color are user adjustable.
2) Position on screen can be adjusted like thus:
a) Deactivate Click-Through
b) Drag the display window to where you wish to place it
c) Activate Click-Through again
Note: New X and Y co-ordinates are saved on correct exit of program.

CintaNotes v2.8.3 Updated

Checker on 24 Nov 2014

CintaNotes is a tag-based, text-only personal notes manager for collecting bits and pieces of information such as thoughts and ideas, article excerpts, quotes, research, etc. A global hot key (by default Ctrl-F12) clips pieces of text from other applications such as web browsers or any local program. The window title becomes title/subject of the note and the highlighted text selected becomes the body.

The program is useful to quickly take down and tag any piece of useful text that you come across and quickly organize by date, keywords, title, link and note size. A search tool searches the entire database with search keyword highlighting.

Note: Since version 1.6.0, CintaNotes has both a payware and a freeware version rolled into one -- some of its features are only available once you acquire a license. The last entirely free version is 1.5.7...

I would second ResophNotes, an excellent, fast and simple note taking app that nicely syncs with Dropbox and various mobile note apps. Depends what you need. Works nicely for me and I prefer it over Evernote, which has many features I would never need.

There's again portable version of distribution file. You can change link from *.exe to *.zip file, and change description of installing.

Optionally, you can prepare a list of words, saved as "wordlist.txt" under the same folder as the program file. The zip contains one for general purposes (and the program learns as it goes), but others are available from the homepage.
