FreeVimager is a fast media viewer and image editor with full screen and multi-monitor support. Includes various image modification tools (lossless rotate and crop, resize, brightness, contrast, sharpen) and analysis tools. Includes batch processing and CD/DVD slideshow creation, as well as a random setting. Touch screen gesture support for zoom in/out and for next/previous picture.
Includes EXIF date / time adjustment, view image location in Google Maps and can view/edit JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PNG, PCX, EMF, HEIC, WEBP, AVIF, and JXR as well as save to PDF.
Also includes basic screenshot and very efficient scanning tools.
The interface with the scanner driver stays in memory, allowing quick scans of multi-page documents, and then quick saving of the sequence of scanned pages (Escape Key, then provide a file name for each scanned page displayed on screen).

Version 9.9.24 is now available, released on Oct 21, 2024. Windows 7 to 11 are supported.
Note that to view HEIC images, you need to install the codec from the Microsoft store.

FreeVimager (version 5.1.0) creates "FreeVimagerShared" folder in Temp:
"C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\FreeVimagerShared"

It again created that log file named log.txt. It contains some errors that occurred some days only. And when that happens, it does not remain stealth.

After reading your comment I deleted the Contaware folder and now it's working stealth. That folder contained some log file.

Tested FreeVimager-5.0.1-Portable.exe; it is portable and stealth on Win 7 x64. Settings are saved to an .ini file in the application folder.

Not stealth, created "AppData\Contaware\FreeVimager". I did not check registry.

The above sentence at end of main entry could possibly be revised to reflect the recent paring down of superfluous features (see changelog: unzip and music features are not supported any longer)
