HashGenerator is a universal hash generator tool that automates the generation of 14 different type of hashes or checksums. The user can directly enter, paste any text from clipboard, or drag-and-drop to generate a hash.
The program supports most of the popular hashes including the MD5 and SHA families, BASE64, CRC32, ROT13, RIPEMD, ALDER32, HAVAL, WHIRLPOOL, etc.

My biggest complaint, and there's quite a few for this app is that it connects to the internet (assume it's checking for updates) and there's no way to disable this behavior aside from adding it to the firewalls deny list. Another thing the interface is functional but the ginormous banner at the top and green matrix color is just plain ugly to look at. Last but not least, as of V1.5 it computes "12" hashes for a single file and there doesn't appear to be any options to pick what hashes you'd like to use so for large files it's going to be extremely slow because it computes all 12 hashes. Also it doesn't have the ability to compare hashes.

New v1.5 does not improve the portable version. However, I've updated the entry, in the case that someone is interested in install to have the shell context menu option.
