(from author of CudaText) I'm making CudaText instead of SynWrite for these reasons:
1) I made editor part from scratch, only added to it EControl parser from 3rd party, but editor core is totally new, from scratch. I can optimize or change it like i want. It is cool. E.g. in 2017 summer I made huge optimizations for huge log files (300Mb+) and editor is fast here. I can change what i want in the core. In Synwrite I cannot do it: core is not mine, only my small tweaks. It was not good, not fast, not changable. 2) New app is Win32/Linux/macOS, CudaText is cross platform. Cool too. It can replace Sublime for some users. Not only Win32 users.

What perplexes me about this program is its clandestine development. If one opens its history page:
http://www.eonet.ne.jp/~gakana/tablacus/history/
one will see that "Fix minor bugs" & "Minor changes" prevail but there are no details whatsoever about them.

xor on 2016-09-26 20:13

Usage of Tablacus suits me better than Q-Dir, but it started to suffer that typical 98% CPU wacko thing that chased me away, Q-Dir also continues to be buggy since XP up to Win10 at refreshing the folders tree after deletion, renaming, etc (some times). I'm started to get suited with Double commander although still missing Drag-Select.

ripu on 2016-10-14 14:42

@xor I am not sure if I understand you. But, refreshing in general spikes the cpu. If I am at the desktop, without opening any software and start hitting refresh, the cpu will be at 99%.
