WizTree v3.41 Updated

Special on 5 May 2021
  • 13MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 5 May 2021
  • Suggested by I am Baas

WizTree is a very fast disk space analyzer and search tool, scanning a single folder or your entire hard drive quickly and showing those files and folders using the most disk space. The program uses the NTFS Master File Table (MFT) feature in Windows to rapidly view files.

Note that this high-speed mode is limited to local, NTFS-formatted drives. The program must do a (much slower) scan of FAT-formatted or network drives for analysis.

No idea what to tell you, 3.35 does not do this, 3.36 does... Guess we need more people to chime in here.

I'm also going to delete my comments "soon-ish" here because this is not the place to do troubleshooting, posting IPs, ect. Maybe the forums is better place for back and forth or PMs.

Yes, it's official site policy to conduct malware related discussions in the forums. Please do.

I've posted in the forum about this issue. I'd like to know if anyone else is having this problem.

See this forum comment- https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=86763#p86763
"How to extract:" instructions should be redacted accordingly.

@billon
Thanks for updating "How to extract".

rb161 on 2020-07-27 22:17

Having used it for many years, Filezilla has lost its way now in my opinion. The irritating pop up balloon on every successful upload is just one of the annoyances. The latest update seemed to corrupt something on my Windows and I was reduced to about one fifteenth of the normal upload speed. Going back to an ancient version hasn't fixed the issue and the portable versions are the same. However WinSCP works fine so it's that for me from now on.

@thepiney: Same here. I've used magnet links no problem. The only time I've had errors is when the program loses access to the downloaded torrent files while it's still trying to share them (if you deleted or moved the downloaded files without deleting the torrent file). I moved from uTorrent because they started adding advertising, but there are settings tweaks to remove it.

JudyGarland on 2019-12-05 06:31

Qbittorrent does not support Windows XP and Vista anymore from v.4.2.0, though 'portableapps' seems not aware of that.
Please update 'System Requirements' section.

Regards

Hi, from the changelog of qbittorrent 4.2.1: (not the portableapps.com version)

FEATURE: Enable portable mode if "profile" directory exists

Anyone knows how does it work?

@Fire The Fox: Have you submitted it to V!rusTotal to substantiate you allegation?

Antiv!rus false positives are overly common and Norton isn't exempt from them. Without having tested it, I doubt a proven reliable (multi-platform) software like Ocenaudio has all of a sudden become a source of malware.

Until then, please keep your recommendations to yourself as they amount to little more than public slander.

Midas on 2019-10-14 09:41

On a side note, I had to disguise my reply because it fell foul of the site's banned word list while Fire The Fox accusation of Ocenaudio sailed through by using plurals...

webfork on 2019-10-15 22:48

@Fox: You might want to run files you test through VirusTotal before posting. I rechecked both 32 and 64 bit and both are safe.

ClipAngel v1.97 Updated

Andrew Lee on 2 May 2021
  • 9MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 1 May 2021
  • Suggested by smaragdus

ClipAngel records all data copied including text, images and files, making it easy to retrieve earlier data where Windows usually allows only one item at a time. The program keeps data even after reboot and can paste in RDP, CMD, elevated windows etc. independently from current input language. Clipboard views include rich text and HTML formatting, filtering by text and details on URL, application and window data.

The program can emulate keyboard input and includes customizable hotkeys. For additional security, the program can block specific applications where passwords may be copied and encrypt stored items.

Category:
Runs on:Vista / Win7 / Win8 / Win10
Writes settings to: Application folder. If not launched in portable mode, writes to AppData\Local\Clipangel.
Dependencies: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2+

It can write to registry HKCU if you turn on AutoStart setting.

One does not need the BAT file ("ClipAngelPortable.bat") to start ClipAngel in portable mode, just run the EXE with this parameter- "ClipAngel.exe /p".

The name of the program is not Clip Angel but ClipAngel as it can be seen in program's main window and in "About" window.

Program's icon does not imply an angel but an alien.

tormozit on 2017-05-14 16:46

@smaragdus
Yes, "ClipAngel" is more correct than "Clip Angel". Over time, I will try to replace "Clip Angel" with "ClipAngel" everywhere I can.
