FreeVimager is a fast media viewer and image editor with full screen and multi-monitor support. Includes various image modification tools (lossless rotate and crop, resize, brightness, contrast, sharpen) and analysis tools. Includes batch processing and CD/DVD slideshow creation, as well as a random setting. Touch screen gesture support for zoom in/out and for next/previous picture. Includes EXIF date / time adjustment, view image location in Google Maps and can edit JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PNG, PCX and EMF, as well as save to PDF.

Also includes basic screenshot and scanning tools.

What's new?
  • Always open images with zoom level Fit or Fit Big.
  • File formats like .png and .gif can store a background color which is used to render the images. When watching pictures one after the other a fixed background color may be preferred. That's now possible with the "Lock Background Color" option found in View menu.
  • More robust EXIF metadata reader, for some corrupted JPEG files the program could crash.
  • Solved a Color Picker display bug.
  • Updated the avir library to version 2.5.

It again created that log file named log.txt. It contains some errors that occurred some days only. And when that happens, it does not remain stealth.

FreeVimager (version 5.1.0) creates "FreeVimagerShared" folder in Temp:
"C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\FreeVimagerShared"

Honeyview is a fast image viewer supporting compressed image files often used for comics/manga/photos. Enables slideshow views with repeat, randomize, transitions, filters, interpolation, rotation and zoom options. Unlike many graphics programs, Honeyview can show all images from an entire directory tree and not just one folder.

Functional on 64-bit and supports most common image types including BMP, JPG, GIF/Animated GIF, TIFF, PNG, TGA, PSD, JPEG 2000 (JP2, J2K), JPEG XR/HD Photo (WDP, HDP), DNG. Supported Archive Formats include ZIP/CBZ, RAR/CBR, LZH/LHA, TAR, 7Z, HV3, ALZ and EGG.

nomacs is an easy to use image viewer with basic edit features and folder preview. The program includes image manipulation including rotate, adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation etc. and includes a pseudo color feature for creating false color images. It will even synchronization multiple instances to allow image comparison of the same position on different images.

The program can view images inside archives or MS Office files.

Clients also available for Linux, FreeBSD, Mac, and OS/2.

XnView is a feature-rich, customizable media viewer that supports more than 400 formats. Includes batch image converter/renamer as well as basic transformations (rotate, filters, effects, colors, multi-page etc.). Various viewing settings include tabbed interface, fullscreen, slideshow, web page, contact sheet, image compare and filmstrip layout. Includes scanner support, screen capture, Photoshop's 8bf plugins, image search, histogram, metadata viewer, automatic crop (deletes background), watermark, flash export and more. It can also store thumbnails to a temp folder rather than each image folder accessed, which is handy for portable use.

Alternatively, XnView Portable is pre-configured and automatically supports PDF interpreter/rendering engine Ghostscript Portable.

MSVCR71.DLL MSVCP71.DLL are no longer dependencies
only `msvcp110_win.dll` but it's lazy loaded

I use it since W98. Very easy copy/paste/crop/resize/scan/print/sharpness and many other things.
Dont have a pen/filler. Not a full img editor but very easy and has many options.
Fully work is done with xnview, mspaint(for pen) and PaintDotNet for layers.(except for the layers that xnview does not have, everything is easier with xnview)

Xlideit Image Viewer bundles an image, document and video viewer with a basic graphic editor. The interface is customizable to show groups of thumbnails and subfolders. Edition tools include crop, rotate/flip, convert and tag viewer/editor. Includes additional options to generate slideshows.

Note that at first launch, the program launches full screen and opens any images on the desktop.

Format support: views most common image formats as well as Photoshop, PCX, TIF, WMF and TGA. Video formats include MPG, MP4, WMV and AVI while document preview is limited to HTM, MHT and RTF.
