@Fox: You might want to run files you test through VirusTotal before posting. I rechecked both 32 and 64 bit and both are safe.

It is my default sound manager. Not perfect. It has the worst 'compressor' you can imagine but the 'limiter' is perfect. Very easy to use. Uses only VST2 plugins. For a good and free compressor, use eaReckon FREE87 FR-COMP. Very simple. Important to say also that the copy/paste sound areas count as miliseconds. So, after many operations, the time of the sound will be higher or lower.

What is the template to add commands to the menu list? Whatever i try it doesn't work.

Anyone knows about other cmd replacement that allows you to save commands?

JPsoft 4DOS/4NT (currently renamed to Take Command) allows you to set up persistent "alias", just check the documentation...

@Cornflower: Seems like the 32-bit ZIP is also available now. I have updated both download links.

Also note that virtually every new release updates some plugins, and version 4.65 is no exception. Most users may want to go to https://www.irfanview.com/plugins.htm and download the 32- or 64-bit package, and dump them into the Irfanview Plugins subdirectory.

I notice in 4.67 that the OCR plugin is updated. It suggests using the Tesseract OCR, which I suspect is not portable. When I test it I will be looking to see if it can be made portable, and if it works with 32-bit Irfanview (there are a number of limitations with the 64-bit Irfanview so I am staying there).

That's not portable. I can only get a setup file installing in C: drive.

I just tried to reduce the size of a video and it has left me exactly the same and with either option: fast and the best.
Any explanation?.

@kilouiski: FileOptimizer exists because so few programs take the time and energy to fully compress your files with available tools. It sounds like the program used to generate your video was an exception.

HashMyFiles by nirsoft offers both those options BTW. My most frequent use for hashing programs is finding duplicates. Si I'm using HashMyFiles. It also has a add to context menu option.

The editor for this program just gets better and better. I've really enjoyed seeing it's progress over time.

Some interesting news:
- Updated to 2.37 2022, May, 1st
- Repackaged since 2.36 (see https://github.com/NickeManarin/ScreenToGif/releases)
"New installer and portable versions with the full package (no .NET 6 download required) are available alongside with the lighter versions, which still require the installation of .NET 6 desktop runtime."

So, now we can have either:
- a self contained "ScreenToGif.2.37.Portable.x64.zip" at 67.7 MB
- or a minimal "ScreenToGif.2.37.Light.Portable.x64.zip" at 6.96 MB... but we need .NET 6 installed on the PC :)

Just downloaded the latest portable version, and it asks for admin permission. That is a no no for me.
Looking at the manifest it says: AsInvoker, so i'm not sure why it would ask.

I don't know if this is the case in Windows 11, but in Windows 10 the new "Windows 11 style" UI seems noticeably laggier.

Noticed the same thing here, I reverted back personally, and frankly this "change" is enough to keep me from updating to future versions. The dev is very good about these things though, so maybe he'll revert these changes back if he knew there were issues, he's somewhat active (I think) on these here forums.

Although it is extra useful, be extra careful with it or you might screw your system -- check, check, check, & recheck whatever you do.

I stumbled upon this app. accidentally when trying to replace my system icon for .reg files. I used to use IconPhile, but it's process is hidden. Sometimes it's hard to undo.

With this.. im able to manually replace system icons. :)
And it's portable/stealth!
