TakeStock is an investment portfolio manager to track US and international stocks, ETFs and mutual funds. The program can track dividends, capital gain distributions, margin equity and cash flow. You can view a security’s price chart, find historical prices, read company info and easily identify short and long term gains for tax reporting purposes.

Automatic functions include price quotes (usually delayed by 15 minutes) and alerts when a security’s target buy or sell price is reached.

Wise Program Uninstaller allows the removal of installed software and associated files, extras and other information default installers often leave behind. The program can search for more leftovers after an uninstall or force uninstall stubborn data that stays behind. The program can repair installs and is fully compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit applications.

CopyQ is a powerful clipboard manager that can handle text, HTML and images. It supports customizable global commands, quick browsing and pasting (including paste as plain text), always on top, tray control, themes, advanced command-line interface and scripting. Items can be organized into tabs. Tabs can be renamed, re-arranged (via drag&drop) and icons can be assigned to tabs. Notes and tags can also be added to items. Other features include global search (case sensitive, regular expressions), preview, transparency, notifications, backup, export, import, logging and more.

The program is cross-platform program, available for Windows, Linux and MacOS.

EssentialPIM includes a calendar/scheduler, todo list, contact manager, basic e-mail client, and tree-like multi-level notes tool that supports rich text, formatting and images.

While many advanced functions such as synchronization and encryption are exclusive in the Pro version, the program is capable of manually importing from variety of formats including Outlook, TreePad, Google calendar etc. Additionally, it can export to many formats including HTML, vCard, iCal, RTF, CSV, iPod, text etc.

BitComet is a manager for web, FTP and BitTorrent downloads supporting simultaneous connections, file queue, selected torrent package contents, fast-resume, chatting, disk cache, speed limits, port mapping, proxy, IP filter etc.

The download includes both 32 and 64-bit versions.

Note: Many years ago, BitComet attracted a lot of critics due to its non-compliance with several standards. While still developed in China, most issues have since been resolved.

GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a powerful photo and image editor for composition and authoring. It can be used as a simple paint program, a high quality photo retouching program, an online batch processing system, a mass production image renderer, an image format converter and much more.

The program is cross-platform with versions available for Mac and Linux. GIMP Portable is the PortableApps version of the program.

1. If you're willing to risk trying a 2012 add-on, mimic Photoshop adjusts GIMP's layout to a switched on Photoshop-like single-window mode.
2. Alternatively, another portable package (though outdated from 2021) is X-Gimp.

DiskInternals Linux Reader provides several disk management tools in an easy-to-use interface. Most notably it includes a tool for reading disks formatted to to a variety of file systems for Mac and Linux, as well as virtual disks from VMware, VirtualBox, VirtualPC and Parallels (VMDK, VHD, VDI, HDS). The program can also create disk images. The interface includes a disk usage window, basic file search, and a preview option for pictures and text.

Can create disk images (.img and .dsk), including boot sector. Filesystems supported include: Ext2/3/4; ReiserFS, Reiser4; HFS, HFS+ (Mac OS); FAT, exFAT; NTFS, ReFS (next-gen Windows filesystem); UFS2; and in preview-only mode: ZFS, XFS, Hikvision NAS and DVR.
