@Sam - I know this is a little late, but use Lupo's Universal Extractor (http://www.lupopensuite.com/db/universalextractor.htm). I just used it and it works. |
IE HistoryView reads all information from Internet Explorer's history file and displays the list of all URLs that you have visited in the last few days. It also allows you to remove one or more URL addresses, or export them into text, HTML or XML file. In addition, you are allowed to view the visited URL list of other user profiles on your computer, and even access the visited URL list on a remote computer, as long as you have permission to access the history folder.

WebVideoCap allows you to capture Flash video format (.FLV) files and RTSP/MMS video streams downloaded in your web browser. After the entire video file is downloaded and played by the Web browser, the video file is saved in the folder that you selected, and save and to play offline. The program can capture the video files of most popular video-sharing sites, including YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo Video, iFilm, Metacafe, Putfile etc.
Note: You can use WebVideoCap under Windows Vista with SP1, but you must download and install the WinPcap driver, and select the WinPcap driver as the capture method, so it is functional but not portable.

larry: I wish techcrunch would take that to a lawyer. Nobody accepts a user agreement / terms of use to use Youtube so you can't be in violation of one if you didn't agree to it. They got a cease-and-desist and panicked because, you know, its Google. |

I tried BlueFish on my laptop to keep the "My Documents" folder in sync with my main desktop computer and it does work nicely, although not in the way I thought it would.

@mike, if you're not scared of using a shell, I'd recommend robocopy. Has never failed me. |
File Transfer lets you connect computers for the fast and secure transfer of any file or folder. It uses direct P2P connection, that ensures the fastest possible transfer speed between two computers. Extended with a NAT traversal protocol (IPv6 Teredo), it is able to directly connect even behind NATs and firewalls.
Note: One of the computers must have a public IP address.

thank you so much, this is exactly what I've been looking for! |
Metapath is designed to be a slim file browser, set to open every file with the same application (i.e. a text editor). You can, however, change this setting so that each file opens with its Windows default application, or you can right-click on a file to choose the set application. Simple file manager actions are provided (copy, move, create link, rename, delete, save as...) along with the ability to set a filter and sort by name, file-type, size, or date.
It integrates well with Notepad2 and it's possible to add a "Browse" button to the toolbar, which brings up Metapath (if stored in the same directory.)
The setting for the "target application" (the default application with which to open every file) takes a standard relative path, but the location settings for a "quick viewer" and the "Favorites" folder do not. For example, "\Apps\UniversalViewer\Viewer.exe", but not "..\UniversalViewer\Viewer.exe".

Although I've moved over to freeware options for most things I do, I've maintained use of Microsoft Photo Manager for years when working on my own photo collection. Today however, I was on a machine without it so I got PhotoScape up and found I actually prefer it.

Every few months I discover something new and cool with this program. Animated GIF tricks, photo edit functions, framing tricks, and photo collages. Today it was dragging and dropping an image onto the program icon and seeing the wealth of edition, annotation, and symbol tools available. |
