Hello all,
Version 3.2 brings the Windows 8 style ribbon interface, which I truly dislike. The previous version (PicPick version 3.1.9) was OK for my needs, and conformed well to my Windows 7 operation system, but I don't have any copies of it. Does anybody know where I can find the latest version (3.1.9) with the Windows 7 interface?
Thanks a lot.

@emrea

I found it here - http://www.filehorse.com/download-picpick/11743/

It may be available elsewhere too.

You'll need to follow the extraction process above, checking the executable version for PicPick will tell you for sure this is v319. It looks like it based on the size of the installer, 12.3 MB, v320 is smaller, 8.7 MB.

@Mike.S.G. Thanks a lot! This is the version I have been looking for. I had searched for it at OldApps.com, etc. obviously without any success, and even sent an e-mail to the software developers but rushed here fearing that this certain version might be erased from the virtual space quickly (that's how paranoid I am :)
Again thanks a lot for your help.

wkm can i get more information about which features you interested for?

wkm on 2013-03-22 15:20

Well, I didn't realize that this is developer's forum. If I wanted to help improve the program, I would search forum on the project site.
Anyway, first thing I'm checking in screenshot program is if it can capture long content inside one window (longer than height of screen/window), i.e. website in browser.

FastStone Capture can capture a scrolling window.

Tried it out, but was not impressed. Already had another free program called "Instant Photo Sketch" and its by far much better than this.

If you care to see the Instant Photo Sketch, its here http://www.snapfiles.com/get/iphotosketch.html

guinness on 2012-02-22 21:04

@Loner, the application you suggested isn't Portable! If you have a suggestion please post in the correct thread.

David Dollevoet on 2012-02-25 16:37

Tried it out and was disappointed. Better than many sketch programs, but still not satisfactory.
Thanks to Loner for recommending "Instant Photo Sketch". It is not portable, but it is by far the best sketch program in my experience.

Download link dead, "says file removed for violation"

lautrepay on 2012-12-25 07:04

@ rogerthedodger: DL link fixed. Thanks.

quote @tc: You can stop the intro photo by editing photoscape.cfg, and turning intro.photoOn from on to off. You could also edit the url, to point to a local image

I installed on USB with 7zip.
In addition to tc's message: if you make photoscape.cfg read-only, it will keep it's settings in the cfg file.

I also deleted the plugins dir (unwanted toolbar in there), and renamed the file PSMsgHook.dll in the main folder to PSMsgHook.dllold.
