Convert is an unit conversion program that converts the most popular units of distance, temperature, volume, time, speed, mass, power, density, pressure, energy etc., including the ability to create custom conversions.

PINs is a password manager for secure storage of sensitive information such as passwords, accounts, PIN numbers etc. PINs uses 448-bit blowfish encryption to ensure that the information cannot be decrypted/viewed without a master password.

Emote is able to produce 15 different sound effects, such as
raucous laughter, cheers, boos, applause, barking etc. Great fun for impressing your colleagues, or expressing your current mood!

X-Pass reveals the content of almost any password field, revealing the text behind those asterisks.

OneButton is a launch bar with 16 customizable buttons and 12 buttons with fixed functions. When collapsed it only takes up 36 x 36 pixels of your screen. A popup menu appears when you right-click the main button, giving you access to 15 different system folders (desktop, sendto, startup, windows, system, nethood, temp etc.) that are opened in Explorer when you click the menu item. You can drop programs or document files on the buttons or customize them manually by right-clicking them.

<p>Note: OneButton is made for Windows NT and Windows 2000. You can make it run on Windows 95/98/ME by using the command line option "/ok". Two of the buttons ("Disk Defragmenter" and "Upd Em Disk") will be disabled.

Mv2 player is multimedia player for both music and video, with skinning support. It features intelligent subtitles detection/loading, and supports most multimedia and subtitles format. Everything can be controlled via the keyboard, which can be remapped to your taste.

privyCrypt is a small program that is designed for encrypting email before transmission across networks. It relies on a shared private key for encryption/decryption.

Windows Enabler allows the user to enable disabled windows and controls such as buttons, checkboxes, menu items etc. It appears as an icon in the system tray and can be turned on and off simply by clicking on it. Use with care! Doing so may cause programs to behave in entirely unexpected manner.

Express Burn lets you create and record audio or data CDs with any CDRW drive. Simply drag the files you want to record into the program and the software does all the necessary conversion. It is also able to create an ISO image from CD, or burn an ISO image to CD.

Note from Per Mortensen: After a certain period, some features are disabled (eg. ISO image burning). You need to buy the Plus version to use all the functions.

GenControl is a simple desktop remote control program for Windows 2000 or Windows NT networks. It allows the authorised administrator to remotely control the desktop of another machine over a Windows-based network with any additional software installed on that machine.

URL Encoder obfuscates your web traffic to make it harder for your ISP or network administrator to check on your activity in web logs. It turns normal web addresses into confusing, obfuscated URLs by replacing the address with HTTP encoded characters. For example, the URL <tt>http://winfosec.com</tt> is encoded into <tt>http://%77%69%6E%66%6F%73%65%63%2E%63%6F%6D</tt>.

PE Resource Explorer is a resource editor and PE module explorer. It works with all resource files (RES) and PE modules (EXE, DLL, etc.), and has special support for Delphi programs.

Junction Link Magic offers an easy interface to add, list, modify or remove junction points on NTFS filesystems. A junction point (also known as a reparse point) is works like soft links on Unix filesystems. It allows for a folder to be grafted into another folder on the same local computer.

HoverSnap is a a screen capture tool with JPG, PNG, BMP and GIF support. You can configure it to take snapshots of the full screen, active window or a selected area. It can capture layered windows (alpha-blended ones under 2K/XP).

HoverIP contains an integrated set of network tools, including nslookup, ping, traceroute, easy routing table management, and a port scanner.

Angry IP Scanner is a fast IP scanner that can ping a range of IP addresses to check if they are alive, then optionally resolve hostnames, scan ports, etc. The program is useful for network administrators to monitor and manage their networks.

Note: Current versions of this program require Java. Until this is tested as portable, we are linking to the previous non-Java version.

UnFREEz takes any number of separate GIF images and creates a single animated GIF. It supports automatic interlacing, transparency detection, and available looping and configurable animation delay.

AcroPAD is a simple Notepad-like program with PDF production capability. Handy for quick generation of simple PDF documents.

Startup Control Panel shows you which programs automatically run when your computer starts, and allow you to disable or remove them if necessary.

JAM (Just Another Messenger) is a tiny Yahoo Messenger client with conferencing support. The interface is non-standard and "cheerful".

TinyIRC is a small IRC client that supports multiple servers, plugins and Lua scripts.

TextMe is a drag-and-drop notes database. It is handy as a quick note jotting space or to copy text notes over from other documents or websites. TextMe currently only supports plain text notes.

Simon 32 is a game of memory similar to the electronic game popular in the 80s. In one player mode, the computer plays a sequence of notes, lighting up the four marble balls. After the computer plays the sequence, you must repeat the sequence by clicking the marbles in the right order. If you successfully remember the sequence, then the computer will play the same sequence again, adding one note at the end. The game continues until you make a mistake.

In two player mode, the first player plays one note, the second player plays that note and adds one extra note. Then the first player, has to play the two notes and add a third one and so on. The players build up a sequence of notes, each adding one last note, again until someone makes a mistake.

Screensaver Manager provides various options for activating/deactivating the screensaver. For example, the screensaver could be activated when the mouse cursor is placed at the upper left corner of the screen. It could also be activated by hitting a hotkey. In addition, the screensaver could be disabled when there is a high CPU load to prevent CPU cycles from being used up by the screensaver.
