Directory Lister v0.9.1

Checker on 15 Mar 2014

Directory Lister lets you list all or selected files you have in selected folders on your storage units into text, csv or html file. You can choose: which items to list (subdirs, size, date, time, attribs, directory names, directory size, full path, crc32 value); which directories to be included; sort options; selection mask (e.g.: *.mp3). It is possible to generate lists for each processed folders, to load and save personalized settings, and to list files from command line (for FTP owners).

Note: Main site only offers a commercial version so we are linking to a mirror of the last available freeware version (thanks Lupo).

Runs on:Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / Win2K / WinXP / Vista
Writes settings to: Application folder
Unicode support: No
License: Free for non-commercial use
How to extract: Download the self-extracting EXE to a folder of your choice and extract it. Launch DirLister.exe.

Love this program. When putting together a listing of the contents of various CDs, I used the preview window to gather information and paste into a text document, then moved into a CSV file. Provided a nice all-in-one spreadsheet.

Does not support unicode...bad. Had finally found unicode support in the app 'SearchMyFiles' by Nirsoft.

Nevermind, found the link for v0.9.1 (.rar format).

The link is dead.
Also, where is the freeware version? All I can see is Directory Lister Pro on the download page.

Version 0.9.1 (archive without installer) is available as freeware on

The application works well once it is correctly configured. Configurations can be saved and reloaded under the File menu.

Some attention is needed when transferring output to Excel. File sizes should be shown in bytes to avoid units being appended and affecting the sort order in Excel. Thousands separator should be set to None or sizes with commas in them will be divided into separate fields. When transforming text to columns in Excel, be sure not to treat successive delimiters as one.
