Free Window Registry Repair helps locate and remove invalid registry entries, which helps improve system performance (since the registry becomes smaller). It supports the automatic creation of registry backups so that you can restore to a previous backup if something goes wrong. On WinXP, it can also create a restore point automatically.

IMHO, the best registry cleaner is Argente Registry Cleaner. Supports 64-bits and there's a portable version. I'll probably add it to the database next month. www.argentesoftware.blogspot.com/

nice program to really mess up your system-had to reinstall outlook express!Try googling" regcleaner last freeware version"that program is safe and been using it for years-you can install a program then open regcleaner and it will show you what keys have been added-that same comany made regsupreme which I use but no longer made-that has never caused me any problems.regcleaner has an installer but does not write to the registry-dont know if it works on windows 7 but try maybe. |
RegScanner scans the Windows registry for values that match a specific search criteria and displays them in one single list for editing and viewing. No longer do you have to press F3 indefinitely to locate the right value. The list can also be exported into a .REG file that can be used in RegEdit.

This is awesome. Easily list all the registry keys you're looking for AND a nice suprise was the ability to create a delete .reg file for easy batch removal of entries. Excellent for cleaning out all those old entries that not even the best 'registry cleaners' will miss. Just make sure you know what you're doing.

This program works with Vista retail too (run as admin and/or with UAC set to auto-elevate, etc). It's also much easier than RegEdit's F3 search, and has sophisticated filtering. Thanks for this good tool.

Many programs, even portable ones, leave behind a lot of registry data that is much easier to trace thanks to RegScanner. Ever since I started using it I've seldom edited my registry without it. |
RegFromApp monitors the Registry changes made by the application that you selected, and creates a standard RegEdit registration file (.REG) that contains all the Registry changes made by the application. You can use the generated .REG file to import these changes with RegEdit when needed.

for thiose having trouble with this app, there are 2 versions; 32bit and 64bit. if you run a 64bit OS you'll probably want both - 32bit for monitoring 32bit apps and 64 for 64 apps

MJ Registry Watcher is a system tray program that monitors and alerts you to changes to any registry keys files or folders. The default set of keys and files should ensure that nothing gets run at startup without your knowledge and important boot up files don't get changed behind your back, but you can configure it to suit your own needs. The program can also keep a full history of alerts in a log file.

I cannot download MJ Registry Watcher 1.2.7.2. Avast blocks it saying that it's a malware... arwwdwin.exe in the zip seems to be the culprit.

arwwdwin.exe is a watchdog program that makes sure that RegWatcher can't be terminated by malicious software without you knowing it. It's not harmful in this case, but these kind of programs do often trigger false positives. That's a good thing, but it's up to you to decide if the program is legit or not. |

Then maybe USBOblivion didn't run with the required privileges: try right click and "Run as administrator"... |
