USB Oblivion v1.12.1.0 Updated

billon on 22 Apr 2019
  • 5MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 21 Apr 2019
  • Suggested by I am Baas

USB Oblivion erases all traces of USB-connected drives and CD-ROMs from the registry. Since Windows keeps a record of all devices attached, this is useful both for privacy and for users who prefer "stealth" software.

System Requirements: Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8 / Win10
Writes settings to: None
Dependencies: Administrator rights
Stealth: ? No. Creates in Windows\inf during run but then removes it.
License: GNU GPLv2
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch USBOblivion32.exe or USBOblivion64.exe if using a 64-bit OS.
Similar/alternative apps: DriveCleanup
What's new?
  • Added:
    • Windows Services closing (VDS, ReadyBoost, SuperFetch);
    • ReadyBoost entries removing;
    • Dutch translation.
  • Updated Spanish translation.

Then maybe USBOblivion didn't run with the required privileges: try right click and "Run as administrator"...

Kea 2012-11-18 19:08

Yes, I used "Do real clean"...

Ruby 2012-11-16 04:39

@Kea - Did you check 'Do real clean (simulation otherwise)' lower left corner?

Kea 2012-11-15 21:25

I tested first with USBDeview, then Oblivion and then with USBDeview again. I can't see any difference at all before and after USBOblivion.
