Blender is a powerful, integrated 3D creation software suite with character/solids modeling, animation, rendering, rigging, shading, motion tracking and post-processing tools. It lets users create high quality 3D graphics, movies and replay real-time, interactive 3D content. Its features can be extended with a variety of plug-ins, scripts, templates and more.

Available for 64-bit and cross platform (Mac, Linux). The program has been used for a variety of functions including a variety of impressive short films.

How to extract:
  1. Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice
  2. In the 2.7x sub-directory, create a new folder and name it config
  3. In this config folder, create an empty text file and name it startup.blend
  4. Launch blender.exe

Added a note about films because I watched that Sintel short film created with Blender, which was in some areas even better than the work Pixar and Dreamworks are putting out commercially.

Video to Video is a feature-rich tool to convert over 200 input formats to any of over 700 output presets. Includes a built-in, high-quality DVD Ripper that supports foreign language subtitles, a video joiner to combine multiple movies in one, as well as a splitter to cut out parts of the video that you find interesting without converting the entire video.

The "How to extract" should be changed so that it reads "Launch vv.exe." two v's instead of a "w". vv is for video to video
