PlayTime v1.3.6 Updated

Checker on 7 May 2013
  • 2MB (uncompressed)
  • Suggested by Checker

PlayTime quickly calculates the total play time of a list of most any music or movie file. Features a drag & drop interface, and can export all/selected rows to a spreadsheet (CSV). Total time is automatically calculated when you add/remove files from the list.

The program can optionally add a shell extension.

Category:
System Requirements: WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes. "Check for updates" (DCUpdate file) is not stealth. It writes PlayTime.dcupdateredirect file to user\all\DonationCoder\DcUpdater\RedirectFiles
Unicode support: Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the ZIP package to a folder of your choice. Launch PlayTime.exe.
What's new?
  • Changed it so that all timestamps in the list are in hh:mm:ss format. This is to get around some silly Excel auto-formatting issues when importing an exported CSV file into Excel and having Excel think that mm:ss timestamps are hh:mm:00 format.

Why cant you just delete the DCUpdate file?

Hello Skwire,

Here is a list of bugs I encountered after a couple of minutes testing it:
-It doesn't always show app icon in about child GUI, I think your better of using static control and STM instead of picture control, less embarrassing.
-Use "UseErrorLevel" when running a link in case there is no default browser.
-Very slow startup.

Ganamyde: recommend posting that to forums (I just added an official forum thread to the entry). Also, I'd include which version of Windows you're using.

Woops, I see that changing it in the config file does not actually work, even after restarting the program.

Emka on 2011-12-24 15:20

PortableApps hosts v2.20, the official website v3.0.1. Is there a reason for this great discrepancy?

bzl333 on 2013-02-03 20:51

now the way to change the download directory:

edit the gPodderPortable.ini file within the App\AppInfo\Launcher directory and change the GPODDER_DOWNLOAD_DIR=%PAL:DataDir%\config\Downloads line to something else. But it would be reset on each upgrade.

from a thread in the PortableApps forum

seems to work.
