LazPaint is a full-featured image and photo editor with support for layers, drawing tools, filter effects, rendering textures and more. The program can do standard operations like resize, flip/rotate, and crop, as well as advanced operations like zoom without pixelation ("smart zoom") and complex color controls. Supports variety of image formats, including SVG, RAW images, PDN ( and WebP.

Cross-platform with clients available for Mac and Linux.

Alternatively, LazPaint Portable adjusts paths and includes both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

How to extract:
  1. Download the "no_install" ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice
  2. Delete lazpaint_simplified.ini, readme.txt, unnecessary language files, and optionally, if you don't have Python, scripts directory
  3. In this folder, create a new text file, name it lazpaint.ini and paste the following:

@PapaiMark I am a bit shocked that you say it would be nightmare to copy / paste a piece of an image. I invite you to add an issue on the GitHub page of LazPaint to explain the problem you are encountering. You can also post suggestions of improvement there.

A simple operation of copy / paste a piece of an image is a nightmare.
No shell options for selection.

Has some interesting features but so far I find I prefer PhotoDemon, which seems to have a few more filters and controls.
