"The sourceforge.net website is temporarily in static offline mode.
Only a very limited set of project pages are available until the main website returns to service."

I was able to successfully convert a DOCX file to MOBI file for an Amazon Kindle device. All I really needed was the index and basic formatting preserved and that's what it did. Also images worked well. I'm very happy.

Links not longer work, well not for me.

Could be https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/Source/TEBookConverter/
be the correct link, but it was lasted update in 2014

I searched and found also https://tebookconverter.codeplex.com/
But firefox had a warning "The site ahead may contain harmful programs"

is this program still available and safe

@juverax: thanks for the mirror but I just retested the native link and I'm not having any issues. Maybe a brief downtime?

Doesn`t work half the time, keeps saying the epub file is corrupt. Yet, they open in Sumatra and just about any other epub viewer with no issues.

Specular on 2017-11-15 14:16

Anyone know security-wise if this is still worth using? It's now been more than two years without an update and I wonder what the risk to using it is, vs say Adobe Reader with its never-ending vulnerabilities.

webfork on 2017-11-19 18:17

@Specular: I think if you're asking a question like that, it's probably wise to use an updated viewer. There have been a few PDF vulnerabilities over the past year, but I think you have to enable various Adobe-only extras that I don't think STDU has in it's program.

@Checker: fair enough, let the discrepancy between releases stand... :)

ripu on 2015-12-24 06:22

This is the fastest PDF viewer. Awesome for high graphics magagine kind of PDFs. I have a lower mid range laptop. Universal viewer throws sumatra, pdfxcange, foxit out of water when it comes to speed of loading one after another high graphics page. And it's the lightest of all the PDF viewers I have tested, uses minimal CPU unlike others I have mentioned.

ripu on 2015-12-24 06:46

Ignore my previous comment. I am an idiot. It actually uses an old version of Sumatra, which was faster and lighter.

Another tiny app that is worth its bytes in gold.
Works like a charm and paired with Tomahawk PDF plus, tiny Fotografix and PDFTKBuilder allows final arts on the level of a desktop publishing suite.

Cornflower on 2022-08-01 11:26

This app is so good; I recommended it to others just this morning.

That said, can the download links (and website link) be updated to https://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/PDF/i2pdf.shtml, per user shnbwmn? I verified both 32- and 64-bit are still there, but wonder how many people clicked the links, got 404 errors, and moved on.

Midas on 2022-08-02 06:46

@Cornflower: done! NOTE2 posted.
