CurrPorts displays the list of all currently opened networking ports on your local computer. For each TCP/IP and UDP port in the list, information about the process that opened the port is displayed, including the process name, full path of the process, version information of the process (product name, file description and so on), the time that the process was created and the user that created it.
In addition, CurrPorts allows you to close unwanted TCP connections, kill the process that opened the ports and save the TCP/UDP ports information to HTML file, XML file, or to tab-delimited text file. The program will automatically mark with pink suspicious ports owned by unidentified applications (applications without version information and icons).

I like this program. I recently used it to notice some suspicious looking port activities. I was able to close the ports down and then turn them to stealth using my firewall program. Then I used this program again and everything has looked normal ever since then. So I think this program may have helped me to stop some hackers or malware. All of my own internet activities and programs work normally so I really do think this program helped me stop something bad from happening.

The stable version (as linked here) doesn't work after the latest Windows update. The beta version (available from the website) works fine, though.

Hi, the link downloads the latest version (v5.11.3) and it didn't prompt for portable install. Also, Windows stopped the file running and I had to manually allow it.

Looks like with 8.98 they've removed even more features from the previous 9.87 free version (detect well-known whitelisted libraries/blacklisted resources), funny they don't mention that in the changelog. |
PEAnatomist shows almost all known data structures inside a PE file and makes some analytics.
Current version provides an entropy histogram possibly handy for cursory PE forensics

Per the last comment (or rather comments), it's true VLC is infamous for never including the 64 bit in the regular download page.

Also available from PortableApps.com (32 bit). (64 bit can replace PortableApps 32 bit files.)

Annoyingly, SysInternals' powers-that-be no longer deem worth their while to provide a changelog of their recent releases.

@ __philippe do you know is there gonna be any effort made to correct this? I'm kinda surprised cuz I have always thought of SysInternals as being a first rate top notch entity, but they are not showing that in this case.Even if the changelogs are only interesting or necessary to a few people in my opinion that reason enough to continue with accurate data.
