Can play interlaced videos at double speed which gives the "video" look as experienced on TV (Deinterlace Settings > Software Deinterlacing > Bob 2x frame). This feature has transformed video on the PC for me.

I extracted the 64-bit version and am rather confused at the different executables: PotPlayer64.exe, PotPlayerMini64.exe, PotPlayerMiniXP64.exe and PotPlayerXP64.exe.
What are they for? Which one is to be preferred?

I blocked all connects from the player + screensaver with Windows Firewall (using Windows Firewall Control).

This is arguably the best video player out right now as of February 2017. It beats Zoomplayer in terms of polish, features, and style.

The end user has very few rights these days, no matter what product/service we're talking about. In this case maybe blocking its process using a firewall is a viable solution for some users.

Nice player, but "Terms of Use" (see bottom of home page) give company right to upload information about your computer.

I just found out that a user on the Portable Apps forum has been maintaining a beta paf package for Potplayer since 2014. He got official permission from the devs: http://portableapps.com/node/41287

I haven't fully tested it, but it opens without problems, plays videos just fine, and is regularly updated.
