Couldn't the author just name it correctly?
Its just a desktop picture gadget, a poor one.

Hi Ganamyde,

OW has few different features than widget, so a different name.
It works in Xp which do not have widget support, and also Win8. You are welcome to read features and feedback at the website (https://sites.google.com/site/overlapwallpaper/home) for more information. I will request you to use OW along with widget to get first hand experience.

Thanks donald for tips.

Regards,

Anand

Spews v1.1.3

  • Suggested by Checker

Spews (Simple Process Excluding Wallpaper Switcher) is designed to automatically switch your wallpapers on a configurable schedule. You can add image folders, choose wallpaper options and check/uncheck the images paths as needed; only checked paths will be scanned for images.

The program will automatically suspend wallpaper switching if it detects any process names you configure in the Exclusions section. This can be beneficial, for instance, when running games that will be disrupted if the wallpaper is changed.

The word "Stealth" came into use recently in reference to the "stealth" airplanes the United States government started to use back in the 80's. As for these "stealth" airplanes they are in fact not invisible, what they show is a very small imprint in hopes to fool a radar operator into thinking that what they see is nothing to worry about. I suppose the fact of the matter is that there is no magic way to keep anything totally invisible on a computer. I for one can live with this free software calling itself "stealth" cuz that's what it looks like to me... Just sayin :) Thank you to the person for their hard work in bring me this free "stealth" software that does what it says.

Would this work on Windows 8 to replace all those tiles on the home screen? That would be a good solution!

To manually set the path to wallpaper to the application directory or a sub-directory just use the pathway setting as a period, seems to work on my machine at least. Vista SP1

IE "LastPath=."

I know I'm just commenting on the fact it's listed as working on Windows 7

donald on 2011-03-28 13:20

Using your own photos/Images portably without the need to access and change the settings in 7 would be one reason.

Why? God only knows.

ChemZ on 2011-05-30 08:00

Oh thanks! Didn't even bother looking at the filename.

carbonize on 2011-05-30 10:36

Why would you? As I posted in the comments on the download page Windows truncates the filename most times so you wouldn't even see it. And the fact the uploader hasn't bothered to post anything about it is just as stupid.
