Tux Paint is a drawing program designed for young children (kids ages 3 and up). It has a simple, easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who helps guide children as they use the program. It provides a blank canvas and a variety of drawing tools to promote creativity.

Tor Browser enables secure, anonymous web access to help bypass various forms of censorship, region-blocking, and tracking. The program uses a modified version of the Firefox ESR browser with additional privacy and security features, including always-on access to an anonymous network and no usage history.

Minime is a tool that allows you to minimize applications to the system tray using a customizable hotkey (by default CTRL+ALT+Z). RegistryViewer can open raw Windows registry hive files. The file structure is shown similar to the Windows' own Registry editor and folders, keys, and values can be searched with values can displayed in hexadecimal form.

RIOT (Radical Image Optimization Tool) presents a before-and-after image compression view that allows you to reduce file size of an image into JPG, PNG, or GIF format. Includes optional metadata removal, batch operations, compression to a target file size, transparency options, and other common editing functions (flip, rotate, zoom, pan). Notable versus similar software in the ability to gradually reduce the available colors one-by-one (7, 8, 9, 10...), not just milestones of 16, 32, 64 etc.

The program is also available as a plugin for XnView, GIMP, or Irfanview (see website).

Functional in Linux using Wine. Many of the official entries here on PortableFreeware have used RIOT for compression. Note that the installer version of this program is considered adware.
