Thanks, Lupo73, for that info. Looks like the download link should point to the Sourceforge link that comes from the website page.

ArcThemALL sorely lacks a critical "List" option to examine an archive contents BEFORE launching
any decompression operation.

Voted Down.

Brickbats accepted/Vote reverted in case this option were demonstrated to be available after all...;-)

RealWorld Cursor Editor v2013.1

Checker on 11 Jul 2013
  • 23MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on
  • Suggested by lautrepay

RealWorld Cursor Editor can create and edit cursors, both static and animated. You can draw your cursors pixel by pixel or make them from images using a simple wizard. Images in cursors can be modified by drawing tools such as Lines, Curves, Rectangles, or Ellipses. A drag-and-drop based interface allows users to easily reorder, duplicate, or append frames to animated cursors.

The program contains several predefined filters covering color corrections, softening, sharpening, motion blur and other effects. Selected filters (for example drop shadow) can be applied on multiple images at once.

Can import cursors from Linux XCursor format.

Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch RWCursorEditor.exe.
What's new?
  • This version of RWCE contains some changes introduced in RealWorld Paint 2013.1, including redesigned color picker, drawing tools and effect windows.
  • There are also changes directly related to cursors:
    - When selecting cursor sizes in various places of the application, a text field with one or more sizes in pixels and a dropdown menu with standard options is used.
    - Improved support for Linux XCursor files. When opening a xcursor file, all resolutions are imported and the cursor can also be saved. The code was moved to a plug-in that can be installed from the online page.
    - Function that uploads cursor to the cursor library is now more user friendly. Users must log in before uploading a cursor. After a successful upload, a link to a web page with the cursor is displayed. Obviously flawed cursors can not be uploaded anymore.

Nice. Note that the QR quodes are 62 x 62 pixels. I don't see any way of changing that in the program, and the resulting QR codes don't seem to enlarge crisply. So if you need larger, you may want to use one of the free online sites - there are a zillion of them.
For those who do web stuff, http://phpqrcode.sourceforge.net/ has a very nifty php-based QR code generator that doesn't have any external dependencies. It's quite flexible, and the codes resize gracefully.

Still with good ol' GeoShell here!

Though not portable or updated, it is a minimalist's dream!

ChemZ on 2011-06-04 21:21

I know Emerge Desktop is also minimalist if you want, but the different applets/modules eats up too much memory for my taste.

GeoShell by itself uses 'round 5 megs of RAM, total usage is about 15 megs (with WinShellEx).

lautrepay said "In fact, since the program does not save settings, it does always start in German."

This seems to be confirmation of my exact statement previous regarding starting in German and having NO SETTINGS.

Re: The trick, YES I noticed how to change to English MY POINT was it ALWAYS STARTS in German. (Just in case you missed that.)

So unless someone can show me that it will save the English setting I will assume that as I surmised it is standard behavior and I am still right.

DMcsvEditor

This is a very poor excuse for a CSV utility..:-(

Takes ages (25 sec) to load a 2,000 rows csv file
Colum sort does get stuck, etc..
....and the current download link is broken anyway, probably for the better
(Softpedia still maintains a working link to the culprit, would anyone really insist...)

My advice: stay well clear of DMcsvEditor, and stick with the real McCoy's instead :
