Hello all,
Version 3.2 brings the Windows 8 style ribbon interface, which I truly dislike. The previous version (PicPick version 3.1.9) was OK for my needs, and conformed well to my Windows 7 operation system, but I don't have any copies of it. Does anybody know where I can find the latest version (3.1.9) with the Windows 7 interface?
Thanks a lot.

Mike.S.G. on 2012-11-27 18:51

@emrea

I found it here - http://www.filehorse.com/download-picpick/11743/

It may be available elsewhere too.

You'll need to follow the extraction process above, checking the executable version for PicPick will tell you for sure this is v319. It looks like it based on the size of the installer, 12.3 MB, v320 is smaller, 8.7 MB.

@Mike.S.G. Thanks a lot! This is the version I have been looking for. I had searched for it at OldApps.com, etc. obviously without any success, and even sent an e-mail to the software developers but rushed here fearing that this certain version might be erased from the virtual space quickly (that's how paranoid I am :)
Again thanks a lot for your help.

Hi, System Explorer is a highly regarded software. However the questions here are important. If you look at their site you will see they have a graph of anti-virus usage. How did they get that info ? Conjecture: when they call home. Perhaps they market such info ? We should bring this question directly to System Explorer and also to Wilders. I would like to add their two softwares to my layered security mix, but first know more about how and why.

Great tool! It works great on my XP machine, but on my Win 7 machine, both of the Real Time settings don't work properly. (I was hoping this newer version would have that bug fixed by now.)

MnX on 2012-08-11 19:58

Five versions later and the Real Time and Real Time + mouse transparency still don't work on Win7 and Win8. I sent an email to the dev before my previous post about this, and another email again today after testing this new version. I guess he is more interested in language support rather than fixing this problem. I give up on this one.

This version's unicode seems to be crashing on windows XP for me.

I get an unexplained exception when launching Notepad++ 6.1 Unicode on WinXP SP3 32-bit. If NppExternalLexers.dll is removed from the plugins folder, the exception no longer occurs.
