hamasaki: If you have any adblockers or custom referral string stuff set in your browser, it could be interfering. I think there are certain protections on that page and server to prevent direct downloads from other sites.

hamasaki on 2016-01-27 08:21

Looks like they`ve fixed it now as it`s working. Thanks guys. btw, I tried it in browsers with no add ons at all and it didn`t work. Must have been a bug on their site.

Strange, I have the same problem of hamaski (I am beyond a proxy).
I'll try later..

@TP109: PDF-XChange Viewer supports all Windows (32/64 bit) operating systems from Windows XP and later.

For limitations to product support for Windows XP see:

TP109 on 2016-01-12 21:48

OK. The PFWC entry is now updated to include XP. I was going by that info. The Tracker SW link indicates that they will continue to support XP for as long as possibe.

Checker on 2016-01-13 04:08

Yes, it was my mistake. I saw the OS-icons at the left side of the programs main webside and I didn't see one for WinXP. That's why I deleted it from 'System Requirements'.

But support of WinXP is mentioned at the webside ... so I corrected the TPFC entry.

Sorry, for caused trouble ;)

Why it's no longer stealth? Mine is not storing settings in appdata btw.

ripu on 2015-10-13 10:31

Ok, by default it's not stealth. (from a comment above) Create a blank file with name "doLocalConf.xml" in the extracted folder and it becomes stealth. Someone should add this to the description.

Checker on 2015-10-17 22:04

@ripu: The 'doLocalConf.xml' is now included in the extracted folder.

Usually when using 7-Zip Portable I have files in multiple folders to unzip; two examples: E:\Software\MPC\CrashReporter and E:\Software\MPC\LAVFilters64.

Each time I select the files in 7-Zip and select Extract I have to start from the same place to select the destination extract location.

Is there any way to get 7-Zip Portable to remember the last destination location? If not, is there any other good, portable extractor that does have this capability?

JohnTHaller on 2015-12-26 04:19

br3: Unfortunately that is a limitation of 7-Zip itself. Each time you click extract it defaults to the folder that the archive is within.

albert on 2015-12-26 20:12

br3: You can 'imitate' that you want if you active the 2 panels view, with F9 o View / 2 panels. It's vey useful.
