Data Crow is a powerful media cataloger and organizer that allows users to manage all their audio, software, book, movie and photo collections in one customizable tool. The program can create a huge database containing all your collected items. Connects with online services like Amazon, IMDB, Softpedia and MusicBrainz to retrieve media information and avoid manual entry. An optional internal web server and web interface can import file information (mp3, divx, xvid etc.) and enable reporting (HTML and PDF).
The program is modular to allow inclusion of new collection types (e.g. stamps, coins, action figures).
Both 32 and 64-bit versions included. Functional on Mac/Linux machines with Java installed.

Hmmm, the first activities by the new main project developer were very promising. But by now, his last activity on sourceforge has been one year ago, as well as the last activity of the origin developer Robert Jan van der Waals. No goodby or something like this. See you tomorow and they were never seen again...

Data Crow development has been picked up again since end of year 2022 by, well, me (the original developer of Data Crow). |
Music Collection allows you to build a database of your audio files across drives, disks and elsewhere. The program can accept any music, recorded books, or other audio media that you own or intend to. Add, edit and search for any information in the database. Album info can be manually entered or pulled automatically from one of 3 Internet album search tools. After saving the albums, you can browse or filter by a variety of criteria. Includes a variety of views and print methods.
Utilizes the Microsoft Access Database (MDB) format.

I'm getting Access Denied, so either a website issue or the author is blocking Hong Kong/Chinese IP addresses. |
Cathy indexes files stored on removable media (CD's, DVD's or even diskettes), hard disks or net drives, to create searchable catalogs that can be used without having access to original media. The program is small, fast and easy-to-use with search capabilities based on file name, date and size. Additional features include filtering options, search duplicates or singles, customisable date format etc.
If files are available (external/network drive connected, DVD inserted) they can be opened (executed) or deleted directly. Other features include drag and drop support available, printing of both directory trees and MP3 album/song lists, and disk space usage analysis.

Simple little program, but unfortunate doesn't support unicode, so if you have any files w/ foreign language or other special characters, they'll get cataloged as "?" for any unicode character.

This program is great. I can't believe Windows is now so convoluted that the basic out of the box search works so poorly. |
MyLib is a cataloging program that uses its own custom database design to store a variety of different catalogs. The program allows a search for file types (e.g. audio, media, text, etc.), sizes, and string/keyword search. MyLib even has a "borrowers" feature that lets you record who has borrowed a disc from your collection.

This should be removed from the database. Neither the website, nor the link via archive.org do work, so there's no way to download. I guess the project is plain dead.

The archive.org mirror link to http://ls.iatp.org.ua/download/files/mylib093ex.zip still works
