xVideoServiceThief (xVST) is a tool for downloading video from various video websites including YouTube, Metacafe, Bebo, and many more. The program includes scheduling, optional session saving, and proxy capabilities. The program will also convert video to various audio/video formats and quality settings including AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, WMV, MP4, 3GP, and MP3.
Ability to download from mature sites can be disabled and password-protected.
X-xVideoServiceThief is a portable wrapper for xVideoServiceThief.
Languages: 19 including Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Japanese.

Problems with this project. It do not run on Windows 8.1 and it seems the MSI of the last version is corrupted. Could the author make the software Windows 8-friendly?

hmm. on first run it seems to be connecting to google and gstatic for some reason and then it connects to "gameanyone.com" later
