I wonder if the program author means 10 GB and not 10 Gb?

rogerthedodger on 2014-01-11 05:41

Life is too short to wait for this program to split a 6GB file, OH, which it failed to finish. Rubbish

I'm still with HJ-Split v1.4 (for Windows 95!), but never had any problem with it in my XP Pro SP3...

Undelete Plus v2.98

Undelete Plus is a quick and effective way to retrieve accidentally deleted files, files removed from the Recycle Bin, in a DOS window, from a network drive, from Windows Explorer with the SHIFT key held down. Since release 2.8 it can clean the disk (free space, cluster tips and directory entries).

Note: Undelete Plus has gone payware. As such, I have made the version I have available for direct download. Please see comments for more download links contributed by donald.

System Requirements: Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / Win2K / WinXP / Vista
Writes settings to: Windows registry. Only one setting (Language) is saved and the default is English.
Stealth: ? No
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the single EXE (portable version) to a folder of your choice. Launch undelete_plus.exe.

Of course these are minor nitpicks and do not decimate the value of the application. If recovering your files are a life and death situation than this should be the last thing on your mind.

JerusalemGifts on 2014-01-18 18:57

DO NOT USE - Total waste of $40 - customer service offensive after I could not get their program to work. I kid you not!

AugustRon0 on 2014-11-04 03:00

Honestly, when you accidentally delete something important off from your memory card or hard drive, the best solution to take them all back is to copy them back from your prepare drive or card data backups. Therefore, making data backups is really important.
But, if you also unfortunately forget to save data backups on other places, data recovery software is really workable when the previous data is not overwritten by anything new.
Check this to know more detailed information of data recovery:

Universal Extractor v1.6.1

webfork on 8 Jul 2016
  • 11MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 12 May 2010
  • Suggested by DigeratiPrime

Universal Extractor allows you to extract files from a wide variety of archive files, including ZIP, ARJ, LZH, as well as MSI and EXE files created using various installer packages (such as Nullsoft, Wise, Inno Setup, etc). Useful for testing apps for portability because you can extract files directly from installer packages without having to go through the installation process. Note that the original developer no longer updates the program so some manual updates may be required.

Alternatively, an unofficial version with the latest-and-greatest internals is available (on Lupo's PenSuite site).

Commercial use note: license restrictions are present on included files UHARC02.EXE and UHARC04.EXE, but can be deleted without dramatic impact on the software. See website for more information.

System Requirements: Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? No. Included libraries may write to the registry.
Unicode support: Yes
License: Main program: GPL, Included libraries: various, see note about commercial use
How to extract:
  1. Download the RAR "UniExtract Binary Archive" package and extract using PeaExtractor or a similar tool to a folder of your choice
  2. Launch UniExtract.exe

It's a bit OTT calling this an universal extractor, as many EXE files I try to extract with it, leads to error messages that the so-scalled universal extractor can't extract them.

Numanoid on 2014-11-01 14:32

This programme is in fact pretty much useless, there hasn't been one exe I have tried to extract over the last couple of months, where the so-called Universal Extractor has failed me :-(

ResizeEnable v1.4

Andrew Lee on 12 Feb 2013
  • 114KB (uncompressed)
  • Suggested by modussn

ResizeEnable lets you turn usually static windows into resizeable windows. This is useful for small message screens that require the user to scroll to see all the contained text, common with Windows error messages as well as programs designed for smaller screens.

Not all static windows will be affected.

System Requirements: WinNT / Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7
Writes settings to: None
Stealth: ? Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch ResizeEnableRunner.exe.

I would recommend Sizer - - over this one.

poopooisforthedogs on 2010-03-23 13:48

There's a reason some program windows aren't re-sizable. You have to add code to resize the GUI controls properly otherwise the controls will get all mangled up. this would be useful for really horribly designed windows. (where text cuts off, and you have to vertical scroll)

@mark, some of us were lucky enough to buy and install vista, before win7 came out.

Nemu on 2010-12-15 18:44

sounded useful for the reason i was looking for it in the first : the resizing of firefox's annoyingly small description box in bookmark properties window..what happened there was it resized alright, smaller. and when 'bigger' the dialog boxes stayed as were, just extra blank space. and yes, the readme does say it reads for last config. i suppose only when the program is on.
if anyone else has a solution to my problem, please tell =D

thank you for reading and sorry to bother you.
