You may not need this, as there is an on-board facility. First try (e.g. Windows 10):
Type info in the search box on your taskbar, and then select System Information.

You'll get a lot of info under various categories. Only consider installing this, if that's not enough.

...sorry, my previous comment only applies to the stable version 1.4.7 - changing "HKCU\Software\QtProject.." to "HKCU\Software\Trolltech.." in "ScribusPortable.ini" does it.
The test version (1.5.4) is stealth out of the box.

I tried this a week or so ago and wasn't really impressed.
It might be great software but it's just not for me.

One thing I just this second noticed though was a 5MB profile folder in my application data folder under the name Greyfirst.

Maybe I used the wrong settings but it should also be pointed out I think

I've used this software for quite a while. It is specifically for writing screenplays. So if you want to write a script for your short film or a screenplay contest, this software rocks. It is feature rich. Otherwise if you are looking for something browser related, or a word processor, best to look elsewhere.

Quite good looking but I think copy-and-paste is a prerequisite for a unit-converter program and yet CAP didn't work for me on Win8.

Imagine saving something useful but small like a password or text encryption program.

This could outlast the flash memory you may have such a program stored on and allow for later recovery. (Acid free paper, sealed container with CO2 and no Oxygen)

And no it is not practical for very large files but I have heard that "small is beautiful"

Wonderful idea, thinking outside the box (or QR Matrix, as it were)! This opens up the door to many other possibilities...
Would it be possible to use a dot-matrix printer on aluminum foil?
How about laser printing on plastic film?

DesktopZoom v3.5 (http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=957#comments) stays magnifying when you click on an item.

I have had to use Desktop Zoom for real recently after an eye operation, and have uninstalled it. It would always fairly quickly lead to complete system lockup on my Win 7 Home Premium PC, mouse and keyboard completely useless, no pssibility to launch Task manager, hard shutdown the only option.

This works. It captured a picture of an entire web page 1024x11126 pixels in size. Nice.

Make sure to check automatically extend browser size according to Web page.

working with Mozilla Firefox you can do that: by the menù File/Save as or File/Save with name.
