Volume² is an utility designed as a replacement for the standard Volume Control. It lets you easily change the sound volume just by rotating the mouse wheel, using keyboard hot keys or moving the mouse pointer to an edge of the screen.

It also includes an audio mixer with advanced volume controls support, a scheduler, an on-screen display, command line support and the ability to store and recall different unlimited presets via one mouse click or system-wide hot keys.

How to extract:
  1. Download the "portable" ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice.
  2. If needed, create a file called Config.ini in the application folder.

This is a wonderful little app. The skins are beautiful. Sinple but lots of options if you want them. Works fine on win8.

Changed download URL to his deviantart page which is in english. Softpedia hasn't updated yet but I'll change it back when they do. I assume its preferred to download from softpedia because of the more persistent download mirrors.

You are wrong ...

1. "I cannot change language, it is not in settings"

Language of the program can be changed through 'Settings' dialogue. You need to select the second item from bottom in the list on the left side of a window (next to the flag icon). You will see the list of supported languages of the interface.

2. "it PERMANENTLY removes system volume icon"

You also can return a system volume icon through 'Settings' dialogue. Select in the list on the left side of a window the fourth item from the bottom (next to the monitor icon). Then, in the right part of the 'Settings' window, select the second option from the top.

Terrible app, after few weeks of using the gui is in russian language(and I cannot change language, it is not in settings) and it PERMANENTLY removes system volume icon. Stay away!
