@JudyGarland: Have you tested on WinXP?  I ask because sometimes we list "system requirements / runs on" rather than "supported".  For example, a lot of tools here on the site were built before it came out, but we'll list Win10 if it's functional in testing.

JudyGarland on 2020-11-01 11:39

@webfork: I copy and paste from 'basic (system) requirements' section:
Windows Vista/7/8/10 or WINE to create the USB (Win 98/XP/2K WILL NOT Work!)
I'm able to 'run' it under XP though, but I have no idea if it actually 'works', either partially or totally.
Devs say it doesn't.

@JudyGarland: thanks for the additional detail. As usual, billon sorted it out.

@lautrepay

Thanks.

@Checker

Weird. None of us was served the .zip package upon clicking on the green download button. I don't know, maybe your machine already has the Tucows downloader.

Checker on 2015-03-28 10:22

@ I am Baas: Yes, that's weird, because I tried it later on other PCs and got only the installer.
Maybe it depends on the browser you use. I still use an old Opera-version (Opera@USB 10.0) for most of my work and there I got the ZIP.
On PC with Firefox 32.0.4, I got the installer

... that's weird!

From the developer’s site, for those who entertain a similar thought:

I get many emails that say "I tried to extend the trial period of xyz software with RunAsDate and it didn't work"… RunAsDate was created for legitimate purposes. For some shareware, RunAsDate might really work, but many shareware creators are smart enough to detect that the date/time was modified, and they end the trial period immediately.
