Atom is a customizable text editor supporting tabs, multiple panes, themes and additional functionality via packages. Intended as an open source alternative to Sublime Text, the program includes syntax highlighting, intelligent find and replace options, and more.
Built using the Electron framework and functional in 64-bit. Portable Atom is a portable version of the program.
NOTE: this project appears to be inactive, which will make it incompatible with some add-on packages.

How to extract: |
Download the self-extracting "online.paf" web downloader EXE and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch AtomPortable.exe. Alternatively, an offline ZIP download (larger as it includes all available languages) is also available. Extract and launch AtomPortable.exe |

I reckon there should be a mention somewhere in the entry's description that Atom is based on (in fact, is like the ur-deployment of) the Electron framework [https:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron_(software_framework)! Broken URL, please copy excluding the exclamation, paste and amend].
