RockXP lets you retrieve the product keys for a variety of Microsoft products. The program allows changing your Windows XP serial, as well as many view other OS-internal login/passwords including XP login, HASH, Windows Protected Storage, and Remote Access Settings. Includes a password generator for random, secure passwords.
Note: The author refers to the software as "beta" stage and appears unlikely to release future versions

Eron, If you did get a virus it was not related to RockXP because I have scanned it with ClamWinPortable and AVG and come up with nothing. Not to mention I used this program a long time ago and never had any problems. Also, it does not call home so don't worry.

I noticed some suspicious behaviour of my system after i downloaded and run this programm. a popup-window apeared showing a countdown of 1 min and told me that my system will reboot.
After the reboot of Windows, the Data Execution Prevention deactivated a programm. i hope this is not a virus.

An extremely useful program for sysadmins that will get deleted as a "bad" program by McAfee (its not a virus) and some other A/V tools. Its ability to read system keys is critical for support staff who often get computers from users who didn't keep their software keys. Being able to change passwords can also be useful for admins dealing with problematic Microsoft key verification. Can also help track down other forgotten passwords for MSN, IE, and in network hashes. Excellent program for any sysadmin or advanced user.

Do we have the same RockXP4.exe? My MD5 checksum is 5d70f828c5f55e7d12adf4c6b658be2d. I have been playing with it for 5 mins now, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't trigger my firewall at all, so it can't be calling home.

Shame... seems like a handy program but something that is pulling windows keys should not be dialing home!

anyone ran this past ethereal? What is it calling home for? SOunds crappy to me :< Lol.
Granted...no AV software is perfect...but if it's calling home, I think that's pretty much un-necessary...

the app seems to call back home... the FW blocks it and then the app crashes... it makes me feel better...!
