taskTome is a personal information manager which allows you to maintain a list of events, diary entries, tasks, notes and financial information. It is light-weight program that displays the information that you need to keep track of without cluttering it up with un-needed features and controls, while still allowing you complete control over the information - including the ability to search, format, print, export and customize data.

Well, I found the portable version on the wayback machine. It is version 1.52, so not quite the final version that was released, but good enough :)

I also found the final windows installer version 1.53 :)

tried extracting the Softpedia Installer version & no go. Did a search for "task tome portable" & got no results for a portable version. When I searched for "taskTome portable" I got a page full of results. Many download locations for portable version 1.53. I can't believe the syntax made that much of a difference.

Feedback I sent the devloper - I think tasktome looks good, but would be much more useful if the search capability went beyond just the planner, task list and current note, but allowed a single search across planner, task list, diary, financial and *all* notes, then open a pop up with the search phrase grouped by where it is found, hyperlinked.

For example, if I typed dentist, you could open a window with the date of every dentist appointment in the planner, every note where I listed the word dentist, every diary entry, each financial record, and of course other text on the same line so I could make an intelligent choice, then click the hyperink and be taken to that specific entry.

It would also make sense to include encryption especially as you provide the place for financial information. Yes, I know, I already use Truecrypt for everything I care about keeping private, but not everybody does, and it would be good not to assume that everyone will use some form of encrypted container.

Overall, good job, I know you will have many enhancement requests, I think a global search and encryption would be two key enhancements that would gain you a lot more users.
