[Anonymous] SKHow do I stop the utility during when it is doing an overwrite? Attempting to use the Close button or exit the utility do no respond. [2009-01-29 15:23]

[Anonymous] Guy@ SK,
I would suspect like most other programs just kill the process.
When in windows open the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete), find a process that looks like the name you would expect, DP.exe, maybe and then right click on it, and kill the process. See if that is what you want.
But really you should just double check your settings before beginning the job...

[Anonymous] aThe author "Dirk Paehl" has an interesting collection of software, I'm not sure if they are all portable though. [2009-01-31 08:52]

[Anonymous] roddersgWhat I don't like about this program is there the indication that it is running is just the "Pass N" on the bottom bar and the "waiting" icon on the application. A progress bar would be much better.
As for doing its job, the data space looks pretty much randomised and I can't see my old data.

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
