wxDownload Fast (also known as wxDFast) is a multi-threaded download manager. It supports segmented/multi-threaded/accelerated transfers for faster downloads. The program can resume and schedule downloads, and supports HTTP, FTP, metalinks, password prompts, and proxies.
The program automatically calculates the MD5/SHA1 checksum of downloaded files so they can be easily verified. Does not support HTTPS links.

Sorry. I can't get it to work with Portable Firefox either. Only with the Firefox installed locally.
Here's some info from the FlashGot website:
These settings work for the Portable version of wxDownload Fast (the installable package is recognized by FlashGot out of the box):
Executable path:
P:\MyPortablePrograms\wxDownload Fast Portable\wxdfast.exe
Arguments template:
[--reference=REFERER] [--destination=FOLDER] [--list=UFILE]
I also can't make it work with FlashGot in portable Firefox. Trying to run FlashGot's download manager detector, it won't detect wxDFast...???
I installed this on my USB drive and tried to run it from the PortableApps launcher. It's looking for a registry key:
"Can't read value of 'HKCR\http\shell\open\command' (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified."
weird, never get up into my mind that this is portable? :p
good news then! :)
