DSpeech is a text-to-speech program with the option of saving the output to a variety of formats, great for creating audio books from text sources. It also supports dynamically changing the features of the voices e.g. insert pauses, emphasize specific words, spell them out etc. using tags.
The program works out-of-the-box on WinXP and above, using the included Microsoft speech engine SAPI5. For WinNT/2K, you will need to install the speech engine separately. You will find links to plugins, speech engines and voice sets on the program website.
The program can import text from TXT, DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, XML and PDF and output to MP3, OGG, AAC, WMA, OPUS and AMR.

Regarding Stefano's comment:
I just tested it extensively and it doesn't appear to have this register/donate requirement. In fact, there's no place in the program at all to register.
I wonder what product you tested. On the interface there is the button register and donate. After 10 translations an information pos up "This version is limite d to 10 translations by day. Consider donate and register the product to obtain a full version. Clicking you are redirected on the browser to this url: //paypal.mcrenox.com.ar/donate.htm?product=Google%20Translator%20Interface&descr=Donate&amount=
Regarding Stefano's comment:
Your problem isn't DSpeech, it's the voice you are using that needs registration, try with Microsoft SAM/Anna or other free voices.
If you have changed windows DPI (if you need larger fonts to be able to read it) the program isn't programmet to take care of that, and most controls end up outside the window (which you can't resize) making the program close to useless.
no registration asked for me.works fine (unlimited) on tablet pc. stefano's link (2 posts above) doesn't point to dspeech anyway.
How do I get more voices
Well there is no registration in this, and the DPI display bug was never fixed. His website tells you how to get more voices.
The speech part works fine but I could only get it to open one web page then it it refused to open any others. I tried shutting it down and restaring but it seemed unable to access the web
DSpeech is a stand alone program of Text To Speech, specifically designed to furnish quickly and directly the functions of better practical usefulness, that are requested to this kind of programs. DSpeech will use the vocal engines installed on your computer, by default Windows XP has only Microsoft SAM. DSpeech does not install itself, is very light, it starts in a second and doesn't write anything on the register.

This program contains a Trojan, you have been warned.
According to VirusTotal (http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/1ad2e6f8cf28c870a6779947df6e2e7f6a50c22fda41fa57d25e718c7fe171e1-1274782233 ), only TrendMicro (1 out of 41 A-V scanners) had any problems with this.
I'm trying to add new voices, how do I do that, plus I'm trying to link with web, has anyone managed to do that?
