I don't think the "Website" link is valid anymore. Fortunately, the download is still on SourceForge.

Oh, and the winPenPack (X-InnoSetup) page has moved to http://www.winpenpack.com/main/download.php?view.76

Y'z Dock is a program launcher that looks like the dock in Mac OS X. To add icons, drag-and-drop a file from Explorer to the dock area. To delete icons, drag-and-drop the icon out of the dock. To remove a separator, press [Ctrl] plus drag-and-drop the separator out of the dock. Right-click on the dock gives you the context menu. Y'z Dock supports relative paths, though it does not automatically use relative paths when you add a file.

Note: This is a beta application that is no longer being developed by the author. The original language of the application is Japanese, but you are given a choice between English and Japanese when you first run the application.

I use RKLauncher. I THINK it picks up where Y'z left off. It's still being developed as far as I know, but it hasn't been updated since I started using it a year ago. It supports relative paths too, but doesn't use them by default.

very simple utility, the only problem is it's limited to your system memory.
i tried performing a calculation on a file about 1.5GB but it gives me a not enough memory message.
i'm only on 1GB of RAM so i find this utility useless if i want to check the hash values on large files.
for example i regularly download torrent files 2GB - 4GB in size. which would require 4 GB of RAM!!!

Can anyone recommend a different app?

pgp/gpg? Menubinding is easy. can be done f.i, with www.autohotkey.com that glue my complete portable software system together.

gdmellott on 2013-12-14 07:11

This little "proggy" has been around for a long time. Where it excels is the process of adding an MD5 signature to a filename to help verify you still have a valid file. Such as after emailing it to someone else. Drag and Drop the file to dsmd5.exe "Yes" to copy to clipboard, then append something like [md5=].

gdmellott on 2013-12-14 07:13

For some reason the short-hand for Control-V after "md5=" did not show up.

Its advanced capabilities make it a powerful tool for exploring the way Windows works, seeing how applications use the files and DLLs, or tracking down problems in system or application file configurations. Is there still a working version of this anywhere? The version linked here just shows a dialog saying the program has been replaced by Process Monitor, with a link to the SysInternals website. Process Monitor works, but seems far more resource-heavy than Filemon was.
