Nvu is a web authoring system (like FrontPage or DreamWeaver) that features WYSIWYG editing of web pages, integrated file management via FTP and tabbed editing that makes working on multiple pages a snap. It includes support for forms, tables, and templates.
Note: KompoZer Portable is considered an unofficial bug fix based on the same code. The Nvu Project has ended and PortableApps lists KompoZer on the former home page.

An excellent basic HTML editor for new and intermediate Web page authors. Although the program has a few bugs here and there, it is easily one of the best free (non-text only) Web page editors available. Its cross-platform nature (windows, linux, mac) means you'll be able to edit your files no matter where you are.

Although this is a nice integrated package for the novice, if you are looking for something more powerful, I would suggest Autoruns (which shows you almost everything that autostarts with the system, including devices and services), and MJ RegWatcher (for alerting you to suspicious registry modifications). Both are more complex than APV, but also far more sophisticated and powerful. |

RocketDock is a smoothly animated, alpha-blended program launcher that resembles the "dock" found in Mac OS X. It features a simple drag-and-drop interface, multi-monitor support, running application indicators, compatibility with most dock skin format, relative path support etc.
Though it's no longer maintained, its basic functions were tested to work on up to at least Windows 11.

Besides the usual options defining the capture area, AviScreen has a unique feature called "follow the cursor". Using this mode you can produce a video or image of relatively small dimensions while covering all mouse activity over the whole screen area. Does not record audio. I normally use the 'Password Generator' feature (under Tools) of the KeePass 1.17 executable file on my thumbdrive to get passwords. 30,000 character limitation; Upper case; lower case; numbers; punctuation, brackets; even high ANSI characters. Mayne this will satisfy your complex password needs. |

Folderico allows you to change the default icon of any folder. It performs this feat by creating a desktop.ini file in the chosen folder that points to the desired icon (also automatically created) so that Windows Explorer will render the folder icon differently. Folderico does not need to be running for the new folder icon to be displayed, and the changes are sticky even when the hard disk or memory stick is plugged into another machine.
