Ken Renamer is a rename utility. Among its many features: wildcards, macro, numbered file lists. string. replacement/remove (regular expressions), undo. It also supports tags: ID3V1, ID3V2 and EXIF.

How to extract:
  1. Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice
  2. Launch KRename.exe
  3. Under Tools, Options, uncheck the "Integrated with Windows Explorer" checkbox
  4. Optionally, delete unneeded language files

This is a nice tool, I gave it a good wokout, having said that...
It still has some bugs and is not totally stable; It has a good chance of crashing on MASSIVE renaming jobs. It has a good chance of crashing from a chosen preset at the Shell Context Menu (which is a pretty cool feature by the way). The "Preset-Shell Context Menu" is non-active with folder and subdirectory renaming. The GUI is messy, cluttered and not friendly to inexperienced users.

If you delete shell extension entries, they won't appear again unless you choose otherwise.
