Many ISPs block SMTP servers so some users won't be able to make this work.

mini-Relay is a tiny SMTP server that runs on your machine and allows you to send emails directly to the recipient's mail server, bypassing your ISP's mail server and any limitation that it imposes. It is also great if you are always on the road and have difficulty finding a SMTP server to connect to.
Note: The home page is in Spanish, but Tim Musson has put together some information in English about the application.

don't works with external computers, from outside network. Free smtp server works. Don't works with hamachi network.

AY SMTP Diagnostic Tool will analyze your SMTP connection. The tool will try to send several emails to nobody@aysoft.com using various methods. It tests both direct sending and your SMTP server. If you do not know your SMTP server, the tool will do its best to find it for you.
