Taskbar++ allows you to reorder the taskbar buttons to your liking. Simply press the [Alt] key, and the taskbar will toggle into a "sort" mode where you can drag-and-drop the buttons to reorder them.

I never understood why there are so many of these apps out there.
Who needs this utility and why, I really would like to know.
I can honestly say that having a messy taskbar has never been a problem for me

Ouch! This software is manipulating explorer.exe's memory directly which causes my firewall/security software to alarm and my system to hang...
I'd prefer a stable system instead of a well sorted taskbar :-)
