Defpix is a defective (dead) pixels tester to help check for defective pixels, which sometimes occur on LCD screens. The program simply shows these colors - red, green, blue, white and black - over the whole surface of the screen.

I found a program called injuredpixels-portable that does the same and Symantec seems to have no problems with it.
