Hasher is a file verification system supporting drag-and-drop, multiple hashes at one time and a log viewer to show a list of processed files. The program can save to a verification file or copy hash results to clipboard. Many compare options are available or you can run multiple instances to compare hash results side-by-side.

Note: Lite version is restricted to 100 files per hash run.

The program works with files, directories, or text, supports Unicode paths and covers most common hash formats including CRC32, MD5, SHA1. Also features the high-security SHA256/512 among others.

I just wanted to let you know that your suggestions have been heard and implemented.

@ Jon: Latest version can compute multiple hashes simultaneously.

@ abc: SHA-256 and SHA-512 have been added in the latest version.

Needs support for SHA-2 (SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512), it's becoming more common now days. The interface is quite good though

Now what we need is a way to generate hashes for all files
in directories

@ sha1: problem solved with release 1.20

SHA1 hashes for large files (approx. > 1GB) seem to be wrong.
At least the result does not agree with sha1deep, Fsum, HashMyFiles (NirSoft) and Hash (Robin Keir).

The website is currently running.

I really like this app. Although it's quite a bit larger than Hash (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1082, it has a cleaner interface, supports more formats, and also has the ability to compare the hash that's produced with the clipboard.

It is a pity that it doesn't have the option to create multiple hashes (ie MD5, SHA1, etc) at the same time. The way of getting a different variety of hash from the same file is a bit clunky as well, but it still works.
