CheckDisk searches for and repairs disk errors via either a basic or thorough surface test. The program is similar to ScanDisk and chkdsk tools supplied with Windows. It can find bad sectors on your disk and mark them as such, working on both hard disks (including SCSI and RAID) and removable media. It can also check CDs for errors as well.
Note: Manual is in German.

I have system (Windows) on an SSD (C:), a Disk 1 Tb (Seagate) (D:), here it is the pagefile.sys. This application presents problems on both disks when it is to read and fix. On an external Seagate 1 Tb everything goes well.

I had the problem: "Cannot Delete File: Cannot Read from the Source File or Disk" on my MP3 player. This program works really well!!! Chkdsk doesn't fixed it, this program has put all the damaged files in one invisible map. So tools --> folder options --> view --> uncheck hide protected operating system files --> I could view the files, I could delete that files and my MP3 player was totally empty!! Thanks a lot for making this good program!
Very good, repaired my external hdd +AAA. my english is bad sorry xD I from panama
I had problems with this too. Sent it to the graveyard.
Release 1.01 seems to have solved (only) a part of the problems. I hope that the author (who is really very active and creative) can improve this quite interesting application.
You are right. There is another problem I realized testing it again: it does not see the CD Rom, even if it is said to work with CD units.
error correction does not work on active partition:
must run from Bart Pe for error correction
The developer states “It is quite similar to the ScanDisk tool or chkdsk.exe, supplied with the Windows operating systems”.
The obvious question then arises, why choose it over those? There doesn’t seem to be an answer to this.
