Large Text File Viewer is designed for viewing large text files. It uses little memory and is able to open very large files (> 1GB) instantly. Background file indexing makes browsing even faster. It also allows the user to perform high-speed complex text search by means of plain text or regular expression.

800MB of text opened in less time than downloaded :')
exe says "not a valid PocketPC application when run - is there an alternate download? thanks
System Requirements: WinNT / Win2K / WinXP
Where does that say PocketPC? lol
shucks.................it opens a 12 GB text file mannnnnnnn.....thats alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn't open a 115 gig file. Piece of junk.
Fantastic program!! Opened a 700 Mbyte in the blink of an eye. Can do searched on it too!
Thank you Swift Gear!
It choked on a 6 gig file
I have about 500 MB SQL file (it's in UTF-8 encoding), and the program simply can not open it. It just hangs.
But "Universal Viewer" - the other program listed in "Text - Viewers" category works just fine. So I can reccomend using "Universal Viewer".
good! here are some hints to improve the application: when the user tries to do a search and the file is not fully loaded yet, warn about that instead of going back to the first match of the text to search; don't close the application when the user (possibly by mistake) presses the ESC key; remove some skulls from the background ;-)
It's Goood!
I'm Japanes, so I had selected japanes font , and viewed file with encoded by shift_jis.
It's great!.
So I have 2 hopes, 1st is scroll by keyStroke like vi/less. and 2nd is UTF-8.
thanks
Cannot open 300kb file. Suck. Not responding
@Gihan - Try AkelPad
Very Good, fast and unique.
235MB file OK in 8 seconds. (XP Sp3)
That's 1.8 million lines with 20 CSV fields on each.
The brilliant way it shows the field name in CSV (Comma Separated Value) files
when you hover over the data is very indispensable for large file work.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Opened 800MB+ log files was never so quick and easy!
V5.2
Fast indeed, almost fits my needs except...
* Opening a non-ascii file such as an NOTEPAD.EXE - A bug resets the colors back to the default settings.
* Non-ascii characters are are displayed incorrectly
* Large files gives us a tiny ass and inaccurate scrollbar
* Very very slow scrolling for keyboard users [up/down], no home/end keys
* No hotkey configuration
Despite that it's WAAAAY better than trying to view large files with notepad/notepad++.
V5.2
I really was amazed!
100mb text file opened instantly! I never belived that was possible. It's unreal.
