[Anonymous] MarkI haven't tried this yet, but it sounds interesting. I would like to know, though, if it also removes registry entries and files/folders inevitably left behind by poorly implemented software. [2009-04-22 00:28]

[Anonymous] MikeI've been using this program for several months now and like this program so much that I now use it at work as part of my monthly maintenance on the computers there. It recovers tons of disk space, removes the annoying startup entry that notifies you of new versions and the Sun download manager. This is great stuff! [2009-04-22 05:24]

[Anonymous] avoidzGreat little piece of software. Although I notice recent versions do seem to uninstall the previous older version before proceeding with installation. [2009-04-22 07:48]

[Anonymous] nvictorthis is exactly the kind of freeware we need. had enough with those JRE craps that polute my computer. [2009-04-22 09:09]

[Anonymous] WebforkGreat program. Tested this on multiple computers and saved some real disk space.

Think it should be integrated into CCleaner or some other system cleaning program but very glad to have it.

[Anonymous] RayThis program is very intuitive and easy to use, I was able
to use it to remove old Java from Vista that the installer
program would not do. Excellent program.

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
