I really dislike the way it forces you to only update feeds every 15 mins, and keeps nagging to set the update period to an hour. I follow many feeds which update quickly and 15 mins simply isn't fast enough. Apart from that, I'd give this program 5 stars but as it is, I give it 3 stars
Just to inform you -- it can be easily run under Windows 98 SE. Maybe it's worth adding here for people like me, who still use it?
i like this software alot. but there is one thing that very annoying. i cant delete the article one by one. any suggetions?
thanks...
Ignore my question - I found how to create a folder. You need to right click the Feeds icon in the left panel, then select Add new folder. If anything else is elected when you right click, the add new folder item is grayed out. You can also create folders within a folder.
I was looking for a menu option to create folders but there is none.
Maybe I'm missing something very simple and obvious - I can't find a way to create groups/folders to group feeds. I know it is possible, because the screenshot here on portablefreeware shows it, I just can't find it. How do you create folder/groups?
As to Nimrod's comment of "a whopping 9Mb" - NFReader uses 7.4Mb of my memory, Great News uses 16Mb, and Abilon (voted most popular here) uses 35+Mb. I'd say NFReader is very modest by contrast!
one problem has been fixed in v 1.3.7.1 the feeds are now saved before shutdown
2 major problems!
1. uses way to much memory, a whopping 9MB!!!
2. doesnt save feeds unless you exit!
apart from that i love it, until something better comes along :)
I have a problem in that it does not save newly added feeds until after you exit completely. Lost a number of added feeds after a machine rebooted on me.
Webpage gone (confirmed with Google), redirected to Softpedia.
